Mannerism is a style in European art that emerged in the later years of the Italian High Renaissance around 1520, spreading by about 1530 and lasting until about the end of the 16th century in Italy, when the Baroque style largely replaced it. Northern Mannerism continued into the early 17th century.

The Mayor Gallery is an art gallery located on Bury Street, London, England. Kelly Reemtsen is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Los Angeles. She was born in Flint, Michigan, in 1967, and studied fashion design and painting at Central Michigan University and California State University Long Beach.
Ugochukwu-Smooth C. Nzewi is a Nigerian artist, art historian, and curator, currently curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He was raised in Enugu and studied under sculptor El Anatsui at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, before traveling as an artist and curator. In the United States, he completed his doctorate at Emory University in 2013 and became the curator of African art at Dartmouth College's Hood Museum of Art. In 2017, he moved to the Cleveland Museum of Art. Nzewi has curated the Nigerian Afrika Heritage Biennial three times, the Dak'Art biennial in 2014, and independent exhibitions at Atlanta's High Museum of Art and New York's Richard Taittinger Gallery. Nzewi also exhibited internationally as an artist and artist-in-resident.

Lina Iris Viktor is an Italy-based Liberian-British visual artist who is known her paintings, sculptures, photographs, and performance art. She moved to the south of Italy in 2022 Viktor combines ancient and modern art forms to create multimedia paintings. She does this by combing an ancient technique called gilding with photography and painting to create “symbols and intricate patterns." She overlays 24-karat gold over dark canvases to create works with “layers of light”. Allison K. Young in Haven. A Hell. A Dream Deferred says that these multimedia paintings suggest “the socio-political and historical preconceptions surrounding ‘blackness’ and its universal implications”. The New York Times described her paintings as "queenly self-portraits with a futuristic edge".
Versus Medici is a painting created by American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat in 1982. The artwork, which references the Medici family, sold for $50.8 million at Sotheby's in May 2021.
Niamh McCann is an Irish visual artist. Her "work includes sculpture, installation, video and painting."
Bony Ramirez is a Dominican-born American self-taught painter and visual artist based in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and Harlem, New York. Ramirez works primarily in paintings, sculptures, and installations that comment on elements of Caribbean visual and material culture.

The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa remains one of the most important and well-studied Baroque sculptures, and it's also the inspiration for a major London show from Irish artist Chloe Early.
