Chocolates and Cigarettes is the first EP by Australian singer-songwriter duo Angus and Julia Stone.

"Mango Tree" and "Babylon" were used in the American television dramas Life and Army Wives , respectively. Giorgio Armani also sampled "Paper Aeroplane" for his 2008–09 winter collection runway. "Eye of the Storm", the third single from Bliss n Eso's album Flying Colours , uses the main riff and idea from the song "Paper Aeroplane".

"Big Jet Plane" is a song written by Australian singer and songwriter Angus Stone, originally recorded under the stage name "Lady of the Sunshine" for his 2009 album Smoking Gun. It was then re-recorded the following year by Stone and his sister Julia as a duo. On 26 January 2011, Australian radio station Triple J announced that the Angus & Julia Stone version of "Big Jet Plane" was the winner of its 2010 Hottest 100 countdown.

It was preceded by the release of the title track and "Chateau" as singles. "Chateau" was accompanied by a video directed by Jessie Hill. The album was written entirely by the duo and recorded at Angus Stone's Byron Bay cottage studio after it was suggested by Rick Rubin, who produced their 2014 self-titled album.
