"Sexy! No No No..." is a song by British girl group Girls Aloud from their fourth studio album, Tangled Up (2007). In April 2007, the group announced that they would release a new album, due in November of that year. In July 2007, it was announced that "Sexy! No No No...", due to be released in September, would be as the first single from Tangled Up, with a radio premiere scheduled for 20 July. The track leaked a few hours prior to the premiere. "Sexy! No No No..." was written by Girls Aloud and Xenomania, and is an electropunk song that incorporates a sample of Nazareth's 1975 song "Hair of the Dog", for which they received a writing credit. Composed of three songs welded together, the song avoids the verse-chorus form present in most contemporary pop music, similar to their previous single "Biology" (2005).
"What About Now" is the seventh single from American rock band Daughtry's self-titled debut album. The song is a ballad, that was written by Ben Moody, David Hodges, and Josh Hartzler, who is married to Amy Lee. It is one of only two songs on the album not at least co-written by Chris Daughtry. "Blah Blah Blah" is a song by American recording artist Kesha from her debut album, Animal (2010). Produced by Benny Blanco, and co-written by Kesha, Blanco, Neon Hitch and Sean Foreman, it was released as the album's second single on January 29, 2010, and features 3OH!3. Initial writing of the song took place when Kesha, Blanco, Hitch and Foreman were discussing which sex talked more and which one was more "obnoxious." The song is a midtempo electropop song that speaks of men in the same way that they have talked about women in the music industry. The lyrics depict a woman who would rather have sex than listen to a man speak and features blatant come-ons throughout the song.
"The Silence" is a song by British singer Alexandra Burke from her debut studio album Overcome (2009). The song was written by Bilal Hajji and Savan Kotecha, along with the song's producer Nadir "RedOne" Khayat. The song was released as the sixth and final single off the album. Burke stated that the song was written when her aunt told the singer about how she and her partner were experiencing troubles in their relationship, and that they were not telling each other how they felt. In response, Burke asked her aunt why he was letting the silence in their relationship do the talking instead of them discussing it. "The Silence" is an R&B and pop-influenced power ballad and instrumentation consists of a piano, a guitar and drums. The lyrics of the song feature the protagonist asking why the other person in the relationship remains silent about their difficulties instead of talking about them.

"Hello Good Morning" is a song by American rapper and producer Diddy and his group Dirty Money, from their debut album, Last Train to Paris. It was released from March 30, 2010 as the album's third single. The electronic dance song incorporates an acid squelch section in the middle 8, ad was written by Marcella Araica, Richard Butler, Clifford "T.I." Harris and Nathaniel "Danja" Hills who also produced the song. T.I. has a featured rap on the song. The song's musical composition was inspired by Diddy's experiences in Ibiza night clubs; its lyrics focus around sex and money. Three official remixes were released alongside the main single: the Official Remix with Rick Ross & Nicki Minaj, the "Grime Remix" with Skepta, and a "Team UK remix" with Tinchy Stryder and Tinie Tempah. Critics noted the track as one of the better songs from Last Train to Paris, particularly for Danja's production, but criticized the lyrics for being superficial and for lacking substance.
Headlines! is the debut EP by British-Irish girl group The Saturdays. It was released in Ireland on 13 August 2010 and in the United Kingdom on 16 August 2010 by Fascination Records. The EP includes the previously released singles "Forever Is Over" and "Ego" as well as a remix of album track "One Shot" from their previous album Wordshaker (2009) and five new songs. The album was preceded by the release of the lead single "Missing You" on 5 August 2010. It became the group's seventh top-ten hit when it peaked at number three in the UK and number six in Ireland.
"Missing You" is a song by British-Irish girl group The Saturdays, from their debut extended play, Headlines!. Written by Alexander Kronlund and Lukas Hilbert with production from Hilbert and James Reynolds, the song was released as the EP's lead single on 8 August 2010 as a digital download and on 9 August as a CD single. The lyrics centre on being in a relationship where the passion has died, but still being addicted to the love that used to exist. It features an electropop production, incorporating elements of synthpop. The group described the song as "an updated version of their sound" and was fun to record and experiment with. "Missing You" is more out-there than that rest of "Headlines!".
The Illusion of Safety is the second album released by the London based indie pop band The Hoosiers. It was released in the UK on 16 August 2010 and was preceded by the lead single, "Choices" which was released on 1 August 2010. The second single taken from the album was originally expected to be "Unlikely Hero", but Irwin has stated on the Hoosiers' Twitter feed that this plan has been changed, and stated that the band "will let you know what soon."
"Hang with Me" is a song by Swedish recording artist Robyn, taken from her sixth studio album, Body Talk Pt. 2 (2010). It was released as the album's lead single via digital download on 16 August 2010, in Sweden, and one day later in the United States. An acoustic version of the song had previously been included on Body Talk Pt. 1, in June 2010. The song was written and produced by Klas Åhlund, who wrote it for Swedish singer Paola Bruna who originally recorded it in 2002. Åhlund re-wrote it, added a chorus and made it more uptempo for Robyn's version. The electropop song carries a club beat, with synth arpeggios and energetic bass. Lyrically, it speaks of falling in love and being scared, and trust in a relationship.
"Remember December" is a song by American singer Demi Lovato for her second studio album, Here We Go Again. It was written by John Fields, Lovato and Anne Preven, and produced by Fields. The song was released in Europe as the album's second and final single on January 18, 2010 through Hollywood Records. "Remember December" adapts power pop and synth-pop genres and diverges from Lovato's usual pop rock sound. The song is a pop ballad that describes a romance that ended abruptly. It received favorable reviews from music critics, who praised the catchy melody and named it "a radio success", but some others dismissed its title and Khalifa's appearance.
