Chris Conway is a Gaelic football coach and player from County Laois. [1] [2]

He plays for the Arles-Kilcruise club. He formerly played at centre forward for Laois and in 2003 was part of the Laois team that won the Leinster Senior Football Championship title [1] for the first time since 1946, [3] before departing the inter-county scene after the 2006 season.

Conway emerged on to the scene in 1996 as part of the Laois minor team that won the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship title. [1]

In 2003 his club Arles-Kilcruise won the Laois Senior Football Championship title under the captaincy of his brother, Paudge.[ citation needed ]

Conway also had a coaching role with Knockbeg College, where he is a schoolteacher, and guided his "alma mater" to a 2005 All-Ireland Senior Colleges title.[ citation needed ]

Conway finished his inter-county career with the Laois football team at the end of the 2007 season.[ citation needed ]

He joined the Laois backroom team as a coach (alongside Brian "Beano" McDonald) under the management of Billy Sheehan, who was appointed manager in October 2021. [4] [5]

Ross Munnelly is an Irish sportsperson from County Laois. He plays Gaelic football for his club Arles–Kilcruise and previously for the Laois senior team. In 2003, he was part of the Laois team that won the Leinster Senior Football Championship title for the first time since 1946. He usually plays at wing forward for Laois.

St Mary's Knockbeg College is a Roman Catholic, all-boys secondary school located on the Laois/Carlow border in Ireland, approximately 3 km from both Carlow town and Graiguecullen, County Laois. A former seminary school for the diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, it was founded in 1793. Exclusively a boarding school until the 1980s, it now accommodates only day-pupils; the boarding school having closed down in June 2011. Knockbeg College celebrated its bicentenary in 1993.

Bryan Sheehan is an Irish Gaelic footballer with the St Mary's club in Cahirciveen, South Kerry divisional side and, formerly, the Kerry county team. He won five All-Ireland SFC medals.

Ciarán Sheehan is an Irish sportsman. Sheehan played Gaelic football and hurling with his local club Éire Óg, his divisional side Muskerry, and was a member of the Cork senior football team from 2010 until 2013. The 2019 Laois Senior Football Championship was the 129th edition of the Laois GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior graded teams in County Laois, Ireland. The tournament consisted of 16 teams with the winner going on to represent Laois in the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship. The championship had a back-door format for the first two rounds before proceeding to a knock-out format. Generally, any team to lose two matches will be knocked out of the championship.

The 2020 Laois Senior Football Championship was the 130th edition of the Laois GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior graded teams in County Laois, Ireland. The championship consisted of 16 teams and had a back-door format for the first two rounds before proceeding to a knock-out format. A team to lose two matches was knocked out of the championship.

Ronan Sheehan is an Irish former hurler, Gaelic footballer and politician. At club level he played with Mallow and Avondhu and was a member of the Cork senior teams as a dual player. Sheehan was also an elected representative with Cork County Council.
