Christopher Andrew Hayes (born December 23, 1973) is an American college baseball coach and former third baseman. He is the head baseball coach at Jacksonville University. Hayes played college baseball at Jacksonville for coach Terry Alexander from 1992 to 1995.
Hayes attended Englewood High School in Jacksonville, Florida. [1] Hayes then enrolled at Jacksonville University, to play college baseball for the Jacksonville Dolphins baseball team.
As a freshman at Jacksonville in 1992, Hayes had a .303 batting average, a .362 on-base percentage (OBP) and a .423 SLG. [2]
As a sophomore in 1993, Hayes batted .361 with a .549 SLG, 4 home run, and 37 RBIs. [3]
In the 1994 season as a junior, Hayes hit .369 with a .552 SLG, 5 home run, and 49 RBIs. [4] Hayes was drafted in the 35th round of the 1994 Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners, but Hayes opted to return to Jacksonville for his senior season.
Hayes had his best season as a senior in 1995, hitting a career high in doubles (12), home runs (7), RBIs (60) and slugged (.479). [5]
Hayes was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 28th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball draft. Hayes played 5 years in the Blue Jay's organization. Playing for the St. Catharines Blue Jays, Hagerstown Suns, Dunedin Blue Jays and Knoxville Smokies.
In 2001, Hayes joined the coaching staff at Wolfson High School in Jacksonville. In the fall of 2003, Hayes joined his alma mater, the Jacksonville Dolphins staff. In late 2008, Hayes was named the head coach at Seminole State College of Florida. [6]
On June 24, 2016, Hayes was named the head coach of the Jacksonville program. [7]

Stephen Bradley Wilkerson is an American former professional baseball outfielder and first baseman who played eight seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB).
The Jacksonville Dolphins are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent Jacksonville University, located in Jacksonville, Florida. The Dolphins participate in NCAA Division I athletics, and are primarily members of the ASUN Conference. Some teams in sports that are not sponsored by the ASUN play in other conferences; specifically, the men's and women's rowing teams are in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The men's lacrosse team had played in the Southern Conference (SoCon) from 2015 to 2022, but that sport will return to the ASUN for the 2023 season.

Jordan Groshans is an American professional baseball infielder in the Oakland Athletics organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins. Jacke Healey is an American college baseball coach and former shortstop. Healey was the Co-head baseball coach at the Oakland University from 2017 to 2019 with Colin Kaline.
Colin Michael Kaline is an American baseball coach and former second baseman and third baseman. He played college baseball at Florida Southern for coaches Pete Meyer and Jim Tyrrell from 2008 to 2011 before playing in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) for 2 seasons from 2011 to 2012. He then served as the head coach of Oakland Golden Grizzlies (2017–2020).
David Cochran Miller is an American college baseball coach and former first baseman who will be in his second tenure as head baseball coach of the La Salle Explorers starting in 2026.
