Hollins won the 2009 series of Strictly Come Dancing with dance partner Ola Jordan, beating Ricky Whittle in the final. [2] He consistently won the public vote throughout, despite losing the judges' vote 190 – 186 in the Final. Hollins and Jordan were the only pair in the competition never to face the "Dance Off"

Film

Hollins appeared in the 2007 film Run Fatboy Run [7] as a marathon commentator[ citation needed ] alongside Denise Lewis. [8]

Personal life

In March 2012, Hollins married Sarah Alexander with whom he has two children. [9] [10] The family live in Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire. [11]

Charity work

In 2008, Hollins became a patron of children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.[ citation needed ] Chris Hollins is an ambassador for Gold Challenge, part of the official mass participation legacy programme for the London 2012 Games,[ citation needed ] and a supporter of WellChild. [12]

Strictly Come Dancing is a British dance contest show in which celebrities partner with professional dancers to compete in mainly ballroom and Latin dance. Each couple is scored by a panel of judges. The title of the show is a continuation of the long-running series Come Dancing. The format has been exported to 60 other countries under the title Dancing with the Stars, licensed by BBC Worldwide, and led to a modern dance-themed spin-off Strictly Dance Fever. The Guinness World Records named Strictly as the world's most successful reality television format in 2010. The series is currently presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Bruce Forsyth co-presented the series with Daly until 2013, returning for special episodes until November 2015.

Watchdog is a British consumer investigative journalism programme that was broadcast on BBC One from 14 July 1985 to 17 October 2019. The programme focused on investigating complaints and concerns made by viewers and consumers over problematic experiences with traders, retailers and other companies around the UK, over customer services, products, security, and possible fraudulent/criminal behaviour. Since it first began, the programme had achieved great success in changing the awareness consumers have of their purchasing rights, as well as pushing forward for changes in company policies and consumer laws, and in some cases helping to close down businesses whose practices have left many people dissatisfied and out of pocket. He returned as an All-Star for the nineteenth series, where he was evicted in thirteenth place.
