Hamza Ahmed Yassin (born 22 February 1990) is a British wildlife cameraman and presenter, known for his role as Ranger Hamza on the children's television channel CBeebies and his work on shows such as Countryfile and Animal Park , as well as presenting programmes about Scottish wildlife. In 2022, he won the twentieth series of the BBC contest Strictly Come Dancing .
Yasin was born in Sudan on 22 February 1990. His parents worked as gynaecologists. [1] The family moved to Northampton in the UK when Hamza was eight years old. [2] When he arrived in the UK, he only spoke four words of English: he began to learn the language by watching David Attenborough's series The Life of Birds . [1] After being diagnosed as dyslexic as a teenager while a student at Wellingborough School, [3] he was supported throughout the rest of his studies. [4] He went on to achieve a degree in Zoology with Conservation from Bangor University and a Masters in Biological Photography and Imaging from the University of Nottingham. [5] [6]
When he was 21, Yassin moved to the Scottish Highlands to study the local wildlife and develop his career; [7] he now[ when? ] lives in Kilchoan. [8]
Yassin is known for the CBeebies shows Let's Go for a Walk, in the role of Ranger Hamza, and he has written a book based on the series. [9] [10] In late 2020, he presented Scotland: My Life in the Wild, a one-off Channel 4 documentary about his life and the wildlife living on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the Highlands of Scotland. Yassin has appeared on The One Show and as a guest presenter on Countryfile , [12] and in 2021 he joined the BBC series Animal Park about the lives of keepers and animals at Longleat Safari Park. [13] [14] In the same year, he presented Scotland: Escape to the Wilderness, a four-part Channel 4 series in which he took four celebrities (Martin Clunes, Baroness Warsi, Ben Miller and Richard Coles) to wild locations around Scotland, showing them the local wildlife. In 2022, he appeared as a contestant on the twentieth series of Strictly Come Dancing , partnering with Jowita Przystał. On 17 December 2022, despite finishing bottom of the leaderboard in the final, they were announced as winners of the series, which also meant Przystał won the Glitterball the first time she had a celebrity partner. Bruce Forsyth co-presented the series with Daly until 2013, returning for special episodes until November 2015.

Molly Anne Rainford is an English actress, singer and television presenter. She was a finalist on the sixth series of Britain's Got Talent in 2012 and was one of the presenters on Friday Download between 2014 and 2015. She has since released two extended plays and has gone on to portray the titular character in the CBBC comedy drama series Nova Jones from 2021 onwards. In 2022, Rainford competed in the twentieth series of Strictly Come Dancing; she reached the final and finished as a runner-up. In 2023, she was cast in the BBC soap opera EastEnders as Anna Knight, as well as continuing to release music.

Vito Coppola is an Italian dancer and choreographer. He is best known for appearing as a professional dancer on the 16th series of Italian dance competition Ballando con le Stelle in 2021 and ultimately winning the competition with Arisa. Since 2022, he has served as a professional on Strictly Come Dancing, the British version of the show, from the 20th series onwards, winning in 2023 with his celebrity dance partner Ellie Leach. In 2024, Coppola won the 19th series of Celebrity MasterChef.
