Homework is the debut studio album by the French electronic music duo Daft Punk, released on 20 January 1997 by Virgin Records and Soma Quality Recordings. It was later released in the United States on 25 March 1997. As the duo's first project on a major label, they produced the album's tracks without plans to release them, but after initially considering releasing them as separate singles, they considered the material good enough for an album.
"China in Your Hand" is a song by English pop group T'Pau, released from their debut album, Bridge of Spies (1987). A re-recorded version was released as a single in October 1987, spending five weeks at number one in the UK, although their debut single "Heart and Soul" was a much bigger hit in the United States. "China in Your Hand" was the 600th single to top the UK charts and kept George Harrison's "Got My Mind Set on You" from hitting the top spot. The song also peaked at number one in Belgium, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland. In 2015, the song was voted by the British public as the nation's 11th favourite 1980s number one in a poll for ITV, and in 2017 was chosen by The Daily Telegraph as one of the 21 best power ballads.
French electronic music duo Daft Punk released four studio albums, two live albums, three compilation albums, one soundtrack album, four remix albums, two video albums, twenty-two singles and nineteen music videos. Group members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo met in 1987 while studying at the Lycée Carnot secondary school. "In My Arms" is a synthpop ballad by British duo Erasure. Written by Vince Clarke and Andy Bell, the song was released in 1997, as the lead single from their eighth studio album, Cowboy. The album version was released as the single version in both the UK and the US, although the lead synthesizer melody performed during the song's middle eight section was mixed lower for the American version. It was issued by Mute Records in the UK and by Maverick Records in the US. The cover for the US single release was used as an example in the book The 7 Essentials of Graphic Design by Allison Goodman.
"Don't Say You Love Me" is a song written, produced and performed by Erasure. The track was released by Mute Records as the second single from the duo's eleventh studio album Nightbird. Although essentially a synthpop song, "Don't Say You Love Me" had elements of doo-wop and girl group influences in its rhythm and lyrical structure. The song was remixed twice by Jeremy Wheatley when released as a single, one which gave the song a smoother, more electronic music feel and one which was a harsher dance number.
“Heart and Soul” is the debut single by British pop rock ensemble T'Pau, released in 1987 from their debut album Bridge of Spies. Following its inclusion in a Pepe Jeans advert, the single reached No. 4 in both the US and UK charts.

Contemporary critics did not positively receive the song and its theme, some calling it a "pseudo-country track" and considering it a strange musical composition. "Move Away" is a 1986 song by the British band Culture Club. Taken as the lead single from their fourth album, From Luxury to Heartache, the song became the group's eighth top-ten hit on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number seven. Before its release as a single, "Get Lucky" was featured in television advertisements broadcast during Saturday Night Live, after which Rodgers and Williams announced their involvement in the track. "Get Lucky" is a house-inspired disco, funk, and pop track with lyrics that, according to Williams, are about the good fortune of connecting with someone, as well as sexual chemistry. "Get Lucky" has since received acclaim from critics, with a number of them praising Williams's vocals and Rodgers's guitar licks.
"So Good to Me" is a song by American DJ and record producer Chris Malinchak. It was released in the United Kingdom on 5 May 2013 by Ministry of Sound. The song samples "If This World Were Mine" (1967) by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell.
Tattoos is the third studio album by American singer Jason Derulo which features guest appearances from 2 Chainz, DJ Frank E, Jordin Sparks, Pitbull, and The Game. The album was released on September 20, 2013, through Beluga Heights Records and Warner Bros. Records. Incorporating a base core of R&B, pop and electronic dance music with some adult contemporary and soul music, Derulo wanted the album to be "totally different" from his previous albums and show the growth in his writing and his overall performance. Derulo co-wrote every song on the album. Its production was handled by RedOne, Ricky Reed, DJ Frank E, Jonas Jeberg and Martin Johnson, as well as others.
Rowan Tyler Jones, known by his stage name Route 94, is an English record producer and remixer from Richmond, London. Initially producing dubstep as Dream, Jones worked with the likes of Skream, Benga and Katy B. He then began producing house music. His single "My Love" was a commercial success, reaching number one in three charts.
