Christopher Paul Murtagh (born 14 October 1984) is an English cricketer who played for Surrey County Cricket Club before being released in 2009. He is a right-handed batsman. Murtagh attended the selective The John Fisher School and made his first-class cricket debut for Loughborough UCCE in 2005,turning out for Surrey in some one-day games later in the season. A prolific season in 2007 earned him his first full contract for the 2008 season. He is the younger brother of Tim Murtagh.
In 2010,Murtagh was selected as one of 21 players to form the first Unicorns squad to take part in the Clydesdale Bank 40 domestic limited overs competition against the regular first-class counties. [1] He played for Shropshire County Cricket Club in the 2010,2011 and 2013 seasons,having also played club cricket with Reigate Priory Cricket Club. [2]

Unicorns were a cricket team in England that was formed in 2010 specifically to play in the Clydesdale Bank 40 limited overs competition. They played in that competition until 2013 and from 2014 to 2018 the Unicorns team competed in the Second XI one-day and Twenty20 competitions. The 2014 season also included a 50-over match against Sri Lanka A. Members of the squad were all players without current full-time contracts with one of the regular first-class counties.
The ECB40,last known as the Yorkshire Bank 40 (YB40) for sponsorship reasons,was a forty-over limited overs cricket competition for the English first-class counties. It began in the 2010 English cricket season as a replacement for the Pro40 and Friends Provident Trophy competitions. Yorkshire Bank were the last sponsors,taking over the naming rights from their parent company Clydesdale Bank for the 2013 edition. Warwickshire won the inaugural tournament. The competition was replaced by a 50-over tournament,to bring the domestic game in line with the international game from 2014 on—the Royal London One-Day Cup.

Christopher Brown is an English cricketer who was part of a highly successful Lancashire CCC playing staff in the mid-1990s and was the captain of Norfolk County Cricket Club from 2013 - 2018. Brown moved to Norfolk in 2001 and was subsequently voted player of the year in 2001,2003,2011 &2016 due to his performances for the eastern county. In 2012,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division Two of the County Championship,Group C of the 40-over Clydesdale Bank 40 and the South Group of the Friends Life t20. Kent also hosted a first-class match at the St Lawrence Ground against the touring South Africans. At the start of the season,Kent played a three-day MCC Universities match at Oxford MCCU,but this match did not have first-class status. It was the first season in charge for new head coach Jimmy Adams after the departure of Paul Farbrace who had been the club's Director of Cricket for two seasons. The club captain was former England batsman Rob Key who had been club captain since 2006. Brendan Nash joined Kent as their overseas player.
