Christian Vidal (born 26 April 1972) is an Argentine guitarist, member of the symphonic metal band Therion. He has so far released two solo albums.
Christian Vidal was born in Zárate, Buenos Aires Province. He started playing guitar at the age of eight.
In 2001 he formed the heavy metal band Cuero together with former Kamikaze vocalist Enrique Gomez Yafal. Cuero went for several tours across Argentina and recorded two albums "Cuero" (2000) and "Heavy Metal" (2004).
Christian released his solo album "El Viaje" in 2005. He mixed instrumental rock with different native Argentine styles like Folklore and Tango there. He had toured Spain with that album for two times.
In 2007 he got a place in The Road Vultures, the band had purpose of returning former Mr. Big vocalist Eric Martin. The Road Vultures have already toured with him across South America and India. Other members were Charlie Giardina (bass) and Pablo Garrocho (drums).
For several years he had given guitar lessons at I.T.M.C. (Technological Institute for Contemporary Music), regarding improvisation and chord melody applied to Argentine native music. [1]
In February 2010 Christian Vidal came to Therion as a new guitarist, and took part in recording "Sitra Ahra" album. After that he began the Latin American tour with Therion. It started on 1 October in Buenos Aires. Throughout November and December, they were touring Europe, presenting the band's new work.
In March 2012 Christian were in Sweden recording guitars for the new Therion album Les Fleurs du Mal.
In April 2012 he were on tour with Queen symphonic rhapsody with Thomas Vikstrom, Mats Leven, Michelle Mc Cain. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Therion, he was touring Latin America (June 2012) and Europe (Oct – Nov 2012). [2]

Therion is a Swedish symphonic metal band founded by Christofer Johnsson in 1987. Its name was inspired by the Celtic Frost album To Mega Therion. "To Mega Therion" is Greek for "The Great Beast" and was a title used by occultist Aleister Crowley. Originally a death metal band, Therion adjusted its musical style by adding orchestral elements, including choirs, classical musicians, and even a full orchestra at their concert performances. As a result, they are considered pioneers of the symphonic metal genre.

Christofer Johnsson is a Swedish musician and producer. He is a founding member and the guitarist for symphonic metal band Therion and was previously a member of Carbonized, Liers in Wait, Messiah, and Demonoid. In 2006, he announced he will no longer sing for Therion – though he will continue as guitarist for the group.
Snowy Shaw is a Swedish heavy metal musician based in the port city of Gothenburg in the west coast of Sweden. He has played with many heavy metal bands, like King Diamond, Dream Evil, Mercyful Fate, IllWill, Notre Dame and Memento Mori. Snowy is adept at playing guitar as well as drums. He is a primary songwriter in Dream Evil. In October 2006, Snowy joined the symphonic metal band Therion, singing on the Gothic Kabbalah album and participated in the 2007 tour together with already established singer Mats Levén. In August 2010, he was announced as the new bassist and clean vocalist of symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, although he was only officially a member for one day then quit and rejoined Therion.
Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas is the third studio album released in April 1993 by Swedish band Therion. The album was remastered and re-released by Nuclear Blast in 2000 as part of The Early Chapters of Revelation box-set.
Hermética was an Argentine thrash metal band from San Martín, Buenos Aires. It was formed by bassist Ricardo Iorio in 1987 after his previous band, V8, disbanded. Hermética was signed to the independent record label Radio Trípoli Discos throughout their career. The band's initial lineup consisted of Iorio, vocalist Claudio O'Connor, drummer Fabián Spataro and guitarist Antonio Romano. Spataro left the band in 1988 and was replaced by Antonio Scotto. This lineup recorded their eponymous album, the first thrash metal album recorded in Argentina. At this point of their career, Hermética performed mainly in Argentina, except for one concert held in Uruguay. In 1990, they released Intérpretes—an extended play which included covers of Argentine rock and tango songs. Both albums were released by Radio Trípoli Discos as a single CD when digital technology became available.
Horcas is a heavy metal band from Argentina created in 1988 by Osvaldo Civile, former guitarist for V8, Argentina’s landmark heavy metal outfit of the 1980s. After quitting V8 in 1985, and impressed by the new generation of thrash metal bands from the Bay Area led by Metallica, Civile set out to put together a new group in that style. That project, which included former V8 bandmate Gustavo Rowek on the drums, was however delayed for a number of reasons, and it was not until 1988 that it could definitely take off. By that time though, put off by the incessant postponements, Rowek had joined another former V8 member, Walter Giardino, in his new project Rata Blanca.

Les Fleurs du Mal is a cover album and the fifteenth full-length album by Swedish symphonic metal band Therion. It was released on 28 September 2012 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the band. Named after the 1857 volume of poetry Les Fleurs du mal, the album is fully sung in French language. It consist of metal cover versions of French pop songs from 1960s and 1970s, mostly from the ye-ye genre.
Beloved Antichrist is the sixteenth full-length album by Swedish symphonic metal band Therion. It is a triple album and was released on 9 February 2018 by Nuclear Blast Records. The album is the soundtrack to a rock musical by the band, who are accompanied by a large orchestra and choir. The staging of the rock musical was delayed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead, the band started to work on the next regular album Leviathan.
