Christine Hoberg is an American singer-songwriter and electronic music producer from Superior, Wisconsin, currently based in Minneapolis. [1] She has worked previously with artists such as Flight Facilities, Kiings, Ivan Gough, and Feenixpawl. [2] [3] [4] She is known for her distinctive fluttery voice and live looping. [5]

Biography

Hoberg was raised in Superior, Wisconsin where she has made music since she was a child beginning with cassette tapes and a karaoke machine. [6] She played in bands while attending Superior High School. She returns often to perform in the Twin Ports including Duluth's Homegrown Music Festival and FeMN Fest. [7] She also cites the area for a source of inspiration, "The extreme weather, seclusion and endless beauty makes it a super inspiring place to make any form of art.” [8]

While based out of Brooklyn, Hoberg's most notable appearance as a writer and singer was on Flight Facilities' highest charting single "Clair de Lune". [9] The song came in at number 17 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2012, [10] went ARIA platinum [11] and was later featured on the television show Grey's Anatomy. [12] It was remixed by Prins Thomas and Motez (producer) among others. [13] Hoberg's collaboration with Chris Siegel and Strehlow on 'This is How' earned her 'Song of the Year' at the Radio Milwaukee Music Awards. She has played across the United States and seven countries, including performing at Iceland Airwaves.

Feenixpawl is an Australian house music duo composed of Aden Forte and Josh Soon, formed in 2003. Their fifth single, "In My Mind", peaked at No. 29 on the ARIA Singles Chart, it also spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on the component chart, ARIA Club Tracks, and in 2013 was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. In April 2015, Feenixpawl launched Eclypse Records in conjunction with Wind-Up Records. The first release from the label, Feenixpawl's "Ghosts", reached number 16 on the Billboard Dance Charts. Christine Hutchinson is an Australian children's entertainer and magician. Her album Grand Fairies Ball was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Children's Album in 1996 but lost to The Wiggles' Wake Up Jeff!, along with the accompanying song being nominated for the APRA Award for Most Performed Children's Work in the same year, but also lost to The Wiggles' accompanying song.

"Clair de Lune" is a song released by the Australian DJ duo Flight Facilities, written by singer-songwriter Christine Hoberg and producers Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell. It features a melodic interpretation of a section of "Clair de Lune" by French composer Claude Debussy. The song was released in October 2012 as the second single from the band's debut studio album, Down to Earth (2014). The song peaked at number 38 on the ARIA charts and was certified gold in 2013. At the APRA Music Awards of 2013, the song was shortlisted for Song of the Year.
