Future Classic was founded in 2004 by Nathan McLay. [1] [2] [3] McLay was appointed to the board of Music Australia, which is part of Creative Australia, the rebranded Australia Council of the Arts, created in August 2023. [4]

"Drop the Game" is a song by the Australian musicians Flume and Chet Faker. It was released on 18 November 2013, by Future Classic from their EP, Lockjaw. The song peaked at number 18 on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified Platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association for shipments exceeding 70,000 copies. It was voted number five on radio station Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2013. The song was also nominated for Best Dance Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 2014, but it lost to "High" by Peking Duk.

Nina Elizabeth Agzarian, known professionally by her stage name Nina Las Vegas, is an Australian radio host, DJ and music producer. From 2009 to 2014 she was the host of House Party on national radio station Triple J. She released compilation albums, House Party Volume 1 and House Party Volume 2, which appeared on the ARIA Charts. In 2015 she started her own music recording label "NLV Records". Las Vegas is also signed to the label.

Basenji is an Australian electronic musician and DJ. He gained popularity through the Triple J Unearthed competition. He was then signed to the record label, future classic in 2014, through which he released several singles and one extended play. He has performed at Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival.

Hi This Is Flume is the first mixtape released by Australian electronic musician Flume. It was released on 20 March 2019 by Future Classic. The mixtape follows the release of Flume's Skin: The Remixes in 2017. Hi This Is Flume was announced on 19 March 2019, only days after Flume's documentary When Everything Was New was released to YouTube. Flume began working on the album away from the public eye from 2017, following his commercially-successful album Skin and its world tour.
