Christine R. Savage (August 5,1931-May 12,2023) was an American politician from Maine. Savage served in the Maine Legislature from 1994 to 2008,including six years in the Maine House of Representatives and eight years in the Maine Senate. She also served on the Union Board of Selectmen.
Savage studied public administration at the University of Maine. [1] She had five siblings,all of whom died before her. She was married to Elmer 'Bud' Savage. [2]

Grace Bailey,also known for many years as Mattie,is a two-masted schooner whose home port is Camden Harbor,Camden,Maine. She was one of the first ships in the fleet of historic vessels known as "Maine windjammers",which offer cruises in Penobscot Bay and the Maine coast,entering that service in 1939. She last underwent major restoration in 1989-90. She was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1992.

Albert R. Savage was an American attorney and politician from Maine. Representing Auburn,Maine,he served in the Maine House of Representatives from 1891 to 1897. In 1893–94,Savage was elected Speaker of the House. In 1897,he resigned from office and was appointed Justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court,where he served from May 15,1897,until his death on June 14,1917.

Olive E. Dana was an American author of short-stories,essays,poetry,and sketches. In her literary work,Dana showed her New England heritage. She was born in Augusta,Maine,in 1859,where she always resided. After high school graduation in 1877,she began to write for the press. Except when incapacitated by illness,she was a constant contributor thereafter,both in prose and verse,to many of the literary and religious publications,having published some 300 articles since her literary career began. Her work included articles on home topics and reviews,biographical sketches and short stories. She was a frequent contributor to the columns of the Journal of Education,the Cottage Hearth,Good Housekeeping,Portland Transcript,and Illustrated Christian Weekly. "The Magi",is illustrative of her best poetic ability. Dana died in 1904.

Frederick Lincoln Savage was an American architect,known as Mount Desert Island's most prolific native architect. During the late 19th and early 20th centuries,he designed over 300 cottages on the island and across Northeastern Maine,including Reverie Cove and the John Innes Kane Cottage in Bar Harbor,and Raventhorp in Southwest Harbor,all listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). He also designed the NRHP-listed West Gouldsboro Village Library in Gouldsboro,Maine.
Rachel Talbot Ross is an American politician and activist. A Democrat from Portland,Talbot has been the Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives since December 2022. When she was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2016,Talbot Ross became the first Black woman to serve in the Maine Legislature. Talbot Ross represents District 40,consisting of the Parkside,Bayside,East Bayside,and Oakdale neighborhoods of Portland as well as the University of Southern Maine campus. She became Maine's first African-American House Speaker,and the highest-ranking African-American politician in Maine history,when she was elected speaker on December 7,2022.
