Christopher Joseph Isaak is an American musician and occasional actor. He is widely known for his hit "Wicked Game", as well as the songs "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing" and "Somebody's Crying". He is known for his signature 1950s rock & roll style and crooner sound, as well as his falsetto and reverb-laden music. He is closely associated with film director David Lynch, who has used his music in numerous films and gave him a role in the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. His songs generally focus on the themes of love, loss, and heartbreak. With a career spanning four decades, he has released a total of 12 studio albums, toured, and received numerous award nominations. He has been called the Roy Orbison of the 1990s and is also often compared to Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, and Duane Eddy.
"Wicked Game" is a song by American rock musician Chris Isaak, released from his third studio album Heart Shaped World (1989). Despite being released as a single in 1989, it did not become a hit until it was featured in the 1990 David Lynch film Wild at Heart. Lee Chesnut, an Atlanta radio station music director who loved David Lynch films, began playing the song, and it quickly became an American top-ten hit in January 1991, reaching number six on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the first hit song of Isaak's career. Additionally, the single became a number-one hit in Belgium and reached the top 10 in several other nations.
Can't Slow Down is the second solo studio album by American recording artist Lionel Richie. It was released on October 11, 1983, by Motown Records. It has sold over 20 million copies, and is Richie's best-selling album of all time. Five singles were released from Can't Slow Down, all of which hit the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including two that reached No. 1: "All Night Long " and "Hello". Merry Christmas is the fourth studio album by American singer Mariah Carey, and her first Christmas album. Released by Columbia Records on October 28, 1994, at the peak of the initial stretch of Carey's career, between Music Box (1993) and Daydream (1995), the album features cover versions of popular Christmas songs in addition to original material. Carey worked with Walter Afanasieff, with whom she wrote all of the original tracks, as well as producing Carey's interpretations of the covered material. You Just Gotta Love Christmas (2004) is the eighth solo album by music artist Peter Cetera, his seventh since leaving the group Chicago, his first Christmas album and his last studio album before his retirement in 2019. This album featured some artwork by Cetera's youngest daughter Senna, and his oldest daughter Claire performs with him on "Blue Christmas" and "Winter Wonderland". Alison Krauss performs with Cetera on "Deck the Halls". In a 2017 article, writer David White listed the album among his list of sixteen "essential classic rock Christmas albums."

In 1996, Forever Blue was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album, though it lost to Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill.
