The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is the public health school of Harvard University, located in the Longwood Medical Area of Boston, Massachusetts. The school grew out of the Harvard-MIT School for Health Officers, the nation's first graduate training program in population health, which was founded in 1913 and then became the Harvard School of Public Health in 1922.

Julian P. T. Higgins is a British biostatistician, Professor of Evidence Synthesis and Director of Research at the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Bristol. Higgins was previously Chair in Evidence Synthesis at the University of York, and Programme Leader at the MRC Biostatistics Unit in Cambridge. He is also a founding trustee and a Past-President of the Society for Research Synthesis Methodology.
The Society for Research Synthesis Methodology is an international, interdisciplinary learned society dedicated to promoting and fostering the study of research synthesis: the process whereby the results of multiple scientific studies are combined. It was founded in November 2005, with its organizational meeting held on November 11 and 12 of that year. It has 85 active members. Its official journal is Research Synthesis Methods, which has been published by John Wiley & Sons since 2010. It holds annual meetings every summer for members to present their research. Its current president is Tianjing Li, and its president-elect is Terri Pigott.
Lisa Morrissey LaVange is Professor and Chair of the Department of Biostatistics in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she directs the department’s Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center (CSCC), overseeing faculty, staff, and students involved in large-scale clinical trials and epidemiological studies coordinated by the center. She returned to her alma mater in 2018 after serving as the director of the Office of Biostatistics in the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). Her career also includes 16 years in non-profit research and 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry. She served as the 2007 president of the Eastern North American Region (ENAR) of the International Biometric Society (IBS), and as the 2018 American Statistical Association (ASA) president.
Elizabeth Anne (Lianne) Sheppard is an American statistician. She specializes in biostatistics and environmental statistics, and in particular in the effects of air quality on health. She is a Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences and a Professor of Biostatistics in the University of Washington School of Public Health. In 2021, Dr. Sheppard was named to the Rohm & Haas Endowed Professorship of Public Health Sciences.

Sherri Rose is an American biostatistician. She is an associate professor of health care policy at Stanford University, having formally worked at Harvard University. A fellow of the American Statistical Association, she has served as co-editor of Biostatistics since 2019 and Chair of the American Statistical Association’s Biometrics Section. Her research focuses on statistical machine learning for health care policy.
Barry Robert Davis is an American statistician and public health doctor specializing in the design, conduct, and analysis of clinical trials. He is Professor Emeritus of Biostatistics and Data Science at the University of Texas School of Public Health, where he served as Director of its Coordinating Center for Clinical Trials. He served as President of the Society for Clinical Trials in 2000 and as Chair of the Biometrics Section of the American Statistical Association in 2003.
Jennifer Holly Madans is an American biostatistician whose research has concerned survey methodology, longitudinal studies, the measurement of health and functionality, and health services, as well as participation in studies on racial disparities in health statistics data, body mass, diabetes, infant mortality, and disability. Formerly the associate director and acting director of the National Center for Health Statistics in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, she is a senior advisor to the Center for Inclusive Policy and vice chair of the Population Reference Bureau.
