Chronicles of Chaos is a compilation album of the American thrash metal band Sadus. It contains songs from their first three albums, which at the time of release were sold out. It was released in 1997 by Mascot Records.

Initium is the 1984 debut album by American band Samhain, released on lead singer Glenn Danzig's independent record label Plan 9. In various interviews, Danzig stated that the album's title, which translates from Latin to English as "beginning", represents his new start after disbanding his prior band, Misfits, in 1983. Most of the final track, "Archangel", was actually recorded in March 1981, and was originally meant to either be a Misfits song featuring Dave Vanian or a track for the band the Damned. The track "Horror Biz" likewise dates to Danzig's Misfits era, as it is a new version of "Horror Business" with different musical arrangements. The album was recorded at Reel Platinum studio in Lodi, New Jersey, excluding the introduction which was recorded at Eerie Von's home on a four track cassette.

Sadus American thrash metal band

Sadus is an American thrash metal band from Antioch, California, active from 1984 to 2015, and again since 2017. Originally a quartet, the band's sound fuses thrash metal with death metal, featuring highly technical musicianship. They are known for the unique death growl of vocalist Darren Travis, and bassist Steve Di Giorgio. Since their inception, Sadus has released five studio albums, one compilation album and four demos, and had only one lineup change, when guitarist Rob Moore left the band in 1993; instead of replacing him, the band has since continued as a trio.

Praise the Names of the Musical Assassins is a compilation album of "rare and unreleased material" by Austrian death metal band Pungent Stench. It was originally released in 1997 through Nuclear Blast, two years after the band had split-up. The album, "which collected all the rare and unreleased Pungent Stench material available," contains tracks from the band's early demo tapes, Mucous Secretion, and Extreme Deformity, which was released as the group's first EP in 1989. These "infamous" demos, along with a split-LP with Disharmonic Orchestra, caused a considerable amount of interest in the group, eventually leading them to sign a record deal with German label Nuclear Blast.

Martin Turners Wishbone Ash

Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash is a British rock band formed in 2004 by Martin Turner, original bassist, lead vocalist and one of the songwriters of Wishbone Ash Mark 1 and Mark 2 Line up. Including various reunions, his tenures with the "original" Wishbone Ash band lasted 1969-1980, 1987–1991 and 1995-1996. The band initially saw Turner joined by guitarists Keith Buck and Ray Hatfield, as well as drummer Rob Hewins. The band toured extensively throughout the UK and also in Europe with live performances featuring material from Wishbone Ash's heritage years, mixing live standards with lesser heard songs from the Wishbone Ash back catalogue, as documented on the New Live Dates Vols. 1 and 2 albums, released in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Original Wishbone Ash member Ted Turner guested with the band onstage, as documented on the live albums. In March 2008 Keith Buck left the band and was replaced by Danny Willson (ex-Showaddywaddy). In December of the same year it was announced that drummer Rob Hewins had been replaced by Dave Wagstaffe. Hewins went on to join Showaddywaddy late in 2011, making his live debut in January 2012.

Extinct Instinct is the third studio album by British progressive metal band Threshold, released in 1997. It is the first album to feature drummer Mark Heaney and the second to feature vocalist Damian Wilson, his first album with the band being their 1993 debut, Wounded Land. The album was rereleased in 2004 as a special edition with three bonus tracks; unlike the previous two albums, this edition did not include a multimedia section of any kind.

Chronicles of Chaos noted a firm combination of classical and acoustic music combined with the primary thrash metal genre, however it was felt that too many of the songs were repetitive - both of this album and of its predecessors.

Soen Swedish progressive metal band

Soen is a Swedish progressive metal supergroup consisting of various extreme metal musicians. Their debut album Cognitive was released on February 15, 2012.

Ultraviolet is the fifth studio album by metalcore band Misery Signals and was released on August 7, 2020. The album marks the first from the band since 2013's Absent Light, as well as their first album with Stu Ross on guitar since 2008's Controller and Jesse Zaraska on vocals since 2004's Of Malice and the Magnum Heart, after vocalist Karl Schubach parted ways with the group.
