Chu Yafei, also known as Zhu Yafei, (born September 5, 1988 in Inner Mongolia) is a Chinese race walker. He has represented his country at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2009 World Championships in Athletics.

Career

While undergoing his studies, he took part in the 2007 Summer Universiade and won the 20 km walk title ahead of the more experienced Park Chil-Sung. He competed at the 20 km race walk event at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He competed at his first world championships the following year and took thirteenth place in the 20 km walk at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin. After the major championships he took to the national and continental stages: taking a bronze medal for Inner Mongolia at the 11th National Games of China behind Wang Hao and Li Jianbo, and then upgrading to the silver medal at the 2009 Asian Athletics Championships – just one second behind Li.

He had success on the racewalking circuit in 2010, taking the silver medal in the 20 km walk at the 2010 IAAF World Race Walking Cup, behind compatriot Wang Hao. [1] He then took wins at the Na Rynek Marsz! and Gran Premio Cantones de Marcha meets in May and June. [2] [3]

He is currently serving the Mexican Army, and has won the Mexican 'Premio Nacional del Deporte'. He holds the Mexican record for walking over 5 km and 10 km. His best for the 20 km distance is 1:18:34 hours.

The World Athletics Race Walking Tour is a racewalking series organised by World Athletics. Athletes accumulate points in specific race walk meetings during the season. Performances in 10 kilometres race walk, 20 kilometres race walk and 50 kilometres race walk count towards athlete's final scores. Since 2011, racewalking performances at the World Athletics Championships and Olympic Games count towards the series. Women have competed in the 50 km distance since 2018.

Olga Nikolayevna Kaniskina is a Russian coach and former race walker. She won the silver medal in the 20 km walk at the 2006 European Championships, the gold medal at the 2007 World Championships, and the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She also won the 20 km walk at the 2008 IAAF World Race Walking Cup, setting a Championship record of 1:25:42. She was disqualified from several years of competition due to doping.

Kōichirō Morioka is a Japanese race walker. He has enjoyed success at University and regional levels, having won two bronze medals at both the Summer Universiade and the Asian Games. Morioka has competed at the four World Championships in Athletics and has twice represented Japan at the Summer Olympics. He also won a silver medal at the 2009 East Asian Games.

Beatriz Pascual Rodríguez is a Spanish race walker. She holds the women's national record for Spain in the 5000 m track walk (20:53.97). She was also Spain's national champion in the 20 km walk event in 2006 and 2008. She represented Spain at the Olympics in 2008 and finished sixth in the women's 20 km walk. She has also competed at the World Championships in Athletics, taking 13th in 2007 and 6th in 2009. She won the bronze medal at the 2005 Mediterranean Games.

Zhu Xiaolin is a female Chinese long-distance runner, who specialises in marathons. She has won the Xiamen International Marathon and was third at the 2010 Rotterdam Marathon. She represented China at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was fourth in the women's marathon. Zhu has also competed at the World Championships in Athletics, where she finished in the top five in the marathon in both 2007 and 2009. Her personal best over the distance is 2 hours and 23:57 minutes.

The men's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics was held throughout the city of Berlin on August 15, beginning and ending at the Brandenburg Gate.

Masumi Fuchise is a Japanese racewalker. She was seventh at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics and is a two-time Asian Race Walking Champion. In 2009, she set the Japanese record for the 20 kilometres race walk event. She also won the silver medal at the 2009 Summer Universiade.

Wang Zhen is a Chinese race walker who specialises in the 10 kilometres and 20 kilometres race walk. He holds the senior Asian record for the 20 km with his time of 1:17:36 hours and is also the Asian, Chinese and junior world record holder over 10 km. He was the bronze medallist over 20 km at the 2012 London Olympics and the gold medallist at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Hassanine Sebei, Arabic: حسنين السباعي, is a Tunisian racewalker who specialises in the 20 kilometres race walk. He was the 2010 African champion and competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics.

The Men's 20 kilometres race walk event at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics was held on August 28 on a loop course starting and finishing at Gukchae-bosang Memorial Park in the center of Daegu. Forty-six men started the competition and 27 countries were represented.

The 2015 IAAF World Cross Country Championships was the 41st edition of the global championships in cross country running, organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations. It was held in Guiyang, China on 28 March. It was the first time that the event was held in China, and the third occasion it took place in Asia. Senior and junior races were held for men and women, with the four races having both a team and individual element.

Dane Alex Bird-Smith is an Australian racewalking athlete. He competes in the 20 kilometres race walk, and has a best of 1:19:28 hours for the distance, set in 2017. He competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where he was the bronze medallist. Bird-Smith represented Australia at the World Championships in Athletics three times, and has appeared four times at the IAAF World Race Walking Team Championships/Cup.

Dzmitry Mikhailavich Dziubin is a Belarusian male racewalking athlete. He was the bronze medallist in the 50 kilometres race walk at the 2018 European Athletics Championships and won silver medals in that event at the European Race Walking Cup and Military World Games in 2019. He has represented Belarus twice at the World Athletics Championships and is a five-time participant at the World Race Walking Team Championships.
