Eta is the seventh letter of the Greek alphabet, representing the close front unrounded vowel IPA: [i]. Originally denoting the voiceless glottal fricative IPA: [h] in most dialects, its sound value in the classical Attic dialect of Ancient Greek was a long open-mid front unrounded vowel IPA: [ɛː], raised to IPA: [i] in hellenistic Greek, a process known as iotacism or itacism.
Ios, Io or Nio is a Greek island in the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea. Ios is a hilly island with cliffs down to the sea on most sides, situated halfway between Naxos and Santorini. It is about 18 kilometres long and 10 kilometres wide, with an area of 109.024 square kilometres (42.094 sq mi). Population was 2,024 in 2011. Ios is part of the Thira regional unit.

A former member of the Popular Orthodox Rally, he currently is the vice-president of New Democracy and serving as the Minister for Development and Investment in the Cabinet of Kyriakos Mitsotakis since 2019. He previously served as Deputy Minister for Development, Competitiveness and Shipping in the Cabinet of Lucas Papademos from 2011 to 2012, and Minister for Health in the Cabinet of Antonis Samaras from 2013 to 2014.
Aristotelis Irakleous Kalentzis, is a Greek national socialist horseback archery instructor and author who was sentenced in 1977 to 12 years in prison for terrorist activities. After his release from prison, he was interviewed by journalist Greek TV reportage show "Made In Greece" and openly admitted to being a national socialist. In another part of his interview, he said that Adolf Hitler is a "prophet of the World" and "an erratic person for those who can understand the deeper side of History". He also said that "violence is in Nature's game. National socialists are always in Nature's game, because they are nothing but a part of Nature. Ossa, known before 1926 as Visoka (Βυσσώκα), is a village and a community of the Lagkadas municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Vertiskos, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 387 inhabitants in the village and 456 inhabitants in the community of Ossa. The community of Ossa covers an area of 59.12 km2.
Zourafa or Ladoxera is a uninhabited Greek islet rock in the Aegean Sea, east of Samothrace, and north of Imbros. It lies at the northeastern tip of the Thracian Sporades, and is administratively part of the regional unit of Evros. Its total area is only 9 sq.m. and the total length of the coastline 12 meters. It belongs to the protected areas of the pan-European program NATURA since 2011.

Chora or Hora, officially Ios, is the capital town of Ios Island in Greece and is the largest settlement on the island. The Church of Saint Irene, also known as Hagia Irene or Hagia Eirene, is an Eastern Orthodox church in the city of Athens, Greece, built on the site of an older medieval church, located on Aiolos street. It is dedicated to Saint Irene, and served as the metropolis of the new Greek state during the early years of independence in the 19th century. Saint Irene is venerated on May 5.
