Cinq Music Group is a technology driven, music distribution, record label, and rights management company. Cinq Music earned dozens of RIAA Gold & Platinum certifications, and received a nomination as Billboard Latin Urban Label of the Year. Cinq Music was started as a digital music distribution company in 2012 by Barry Daffurn. Cinq Music Group now provides rights management, content creation and label services for recording artists. [2] Janet Jackson released her "Made For Now" music video in collaboration with Cinq in August 2018, [3] [4] [5] the collaboration with Daddy Yankee, returned Jackson to the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time since 2015, [6] and her 20th number one on the Dance Club Songs chart. Focusing on independent and untapped talent, Percy Miller (aka Master P) became president of Urban Music Development at Cinq in 2017. [8] Cinq received first round venture capital funding in 2015. [9] [10]
In September 2020, Cinq acquired the record label Beluga Heights Records, the home to Jason Derulo. [11]
In 2016, Cinq was a nominee and finalist for Billboard Magazine's, Latin Rhythm Albums Label of the Year, [21] with Sony Music Latin winning the category. [22]

The Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year is an honor presented annually at the Latin Grammy Awards, a ceremony that recognizes excellence and creates a wider awareness of cultural diversity and contributions of Latin recording artists in the United States and internationally. The award is given to the performers, producers, audio engineers and mastering engineers for vocal or instrumental albums with 51 percent of new recorded songs. Albums of previously released recordings, such as reissues, compilations of old recordings and greatest hits albums packages are not eligible. Due to the increasing musical changes in the industry, from 2012 the category includes 10 nominees, according to a restructuration made by the academy for the four general categories: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Album of the Year.Beginning in 2018, songwriters are eligible for the accolade if 33% of the playing time are composed by them.

Sentimiento is the sixth studio album by Puerto Rican recording artist Ivy Queen. It was released on March 27, 2007, by Univision Records. The album features production collaborations with several Puerto Rican music producers including Monserrate & DJ Urba, Noriega, and Luny Tunes. It also features vocal collaborations with Don Omar, Arcángel, Tito "El Bambino", Ken-Y, Randy and Naldo. Following an international hiatus, it was released as the lead single from his thirteenth studio album Corazón Profundo (2013) on September 24, 2012. "Made for Now" is a song by American singer-songwriter Janet Jackson and Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee. It was produced by English songwriter, musician and producer Harmony Samuels, with additional production contributions by Jackson's long-term collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis alongside Jackson. The song was made available for digital download on August 17, 2018, with a Dave Meyers-directed music video released simultaneously.
