Trinidad is the larger and more populous of the two major islands of Trinidad and Tobago. The island lies 11 km (6.8 mi) off the northeastern coast of Venezuela and sits on the continental shelf of South America. It is often referred to as the southernmost island in the West Indies. The newspaper commenced operations on 6 June 1967. The website for the Trinidad and Tobago Express was first registered in 1997 and launched subsequently very soon thereafter. Trinidad and Tobago, officially the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, is the southernmost island country in the Caribbean and is known for its fossil-fuel wealth. Consisting of the main islands Trinidad and Tobago, and numerous much smaller islands, it is situated 130 kilometres south of Grenada and 11 kilometres off the coast of northeastern Venezuela. The Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Football Union is the governing body for rugby union in Trinidad and Tobago. It was founded in 1928 and became affiliated to the International Rugby Board in 1992. It is also a member of the West Indies Rugby Union, the Trinidad & Tobago Olympic Committee and the North American and West Indian Rugby Association.

The Public Transport Service Corporation or better known as PTSC is the state-owned public transport provider for Trinidad and Tobago. Its headquarters are at City Gate in Port of Spain. Passengers have to buy the tickets at a ticket booth and show it to the driver. The fares vary with distance. There are two type of buses: the blue-and-white buses are the regular and the red-and-white are the express commuter buses. The latter are more expensive, make fewer stops and are more comfortable.

Borde Narve Village is a fast-growing village centered on the Cipero Road in between San Fernando and Princes Town in Southern Trinidad. It is located in the Princes Town Regional Corporation. The village has been growing at a fast rate since 1999, thanks to its location almost equidistant from the two main towns. The village's precise population is unknown but is estimated at 1,500. The exact beginning and ends of the village have blurred and are not clear-cut. However, the towns of Lengua and St. Johns are adjacent to it. The village has one cricket ground located at the junction of Cipero Road and Inverness. The village also has several churches and businesses as of late. The village is represented by the Naparima District. The current Minister of Parliament is Nazim Baskh of UNC-A.

Trinidad and Tobago Newsday is a daily newspaper in Trinidad and Tobago. Newsday is the newest of the three daily papers after the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian and the Trinidad and Tobago Express respectively. The newspaper was founded in 1993 by Daniel Chookolingo, Therese Mills became the first editor-in-chief she was the former editor-in-chief of the Guardian. Newsday bills itself as "The People's Newspaper". The week-end edition is known as the Saturday Newsday.

China–Trinidad and Tobago relations Bilateral relations

Diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago were established on 20 June 1974. The Chinese government established an embassy in Port of Spain in April 1975, with Trinidad and Tobago establishing their own embassy in Beijing on 26 February 2014. Prime Minister Eric Williams was the first Trinidadian head of government to visit China in 1974. In 2002, the trade balance between the two countries was US$47.15 million, with China exporting all but $4.81 million of that. The current Chinese ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago is Mr. Yang Youming.

The San Fernando Formation is a geologic formation in Trinidad and Tobago. The open marine claystones preserve fossils dating back to the Oligocene period.

The Morne Diablo Limestone is a geologic formation in Morne Diablo, Trinidad and Tobago. It preserves fossils dating back to the Oligocene period. The formation is laterally equivalent to the Cipero Marl and San Fernando Formation.
