Clovis East High School is a four-year public high school of Clovis Unified School District located in Clovis, California, United States. It is home to the Timberwolves. It was built in 2000, but first welcomed students in 1999, sharing a campus with Reyburn Intermediate School.

It was named a California Distinguished School in 2007, [2] and was named a Blue Ribbon School in 2008. [3]

The boys' Clovis East track and field team won the 2009 CIF State Championship.[ citation needed ]

With his U.S. Open victory he became the third player to have won those three championships, after Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods, and the sixth player to win both the U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open.

2020 PGA Championship Golf tournament

The 2020 PGA Championship was the 102nd edition of the PGA Championship, and the first of golf's three major championships played in 2020. It was held August 6–9 at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California, having originally been scheduled for May 14–17. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the first major played in over a year, and had no spectators in attendance. It was the first major held at Harding Park, which had previously hosted World Golf Championship events in 2005 and 2015, and the 2009 Presidents Cup.

The 2020 United States Open Championship was the 120th U.S. Open, held September 17–20 over the West Course at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York, a suburb northeast of New York City. 2021 U.S. Open (golf) 121st U.S. Open

The 2021 United States Open Championship was the 121st U.S. Open, the national open golf championship of the United States. It was a 72-hole stroke play tournament that was played June 17–20 on the South Course at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, San Diego, California. The South Course previously hosted in 2008, which was won by Tiger Woods in a playoff.

Austin Smotherman is an American professional golfer. He played collegiate golf at Southern Methodist University and currently plays on the Korn Ferry Tour. He won the 2021 Simmons Bank Open.

The Match is a series of exhibition match play golf challenge matches that began in 2018. The event features major professional golfers facing each other in a head-to-head competition. The format has varied throughout the irregularly scheduled run of the event, with three of the five entries featuring a best ball format where the professional golfers are paired with a professional American football quarterback or, in one case, a basketball player. In all of the events, sports entertainment elements were included, particularly with the inclusion of sports betting elements in that the contestants wager portions of their prize on side bets during the contest. Turner Sports has televised all five iterations of the event.
