Tyler Hamilton is an American former professional road bicycle racer. He is the only American rider to win one of the five Monuments of cycling, taking Liège–Bastogne–Liège in 2003. Hamilton became a professional cyclist in 1995 with the US Postal Service cycling team. He was a teammate of Lance Armstrong during the 1999, 2000 and 2001 Tours de France, where Armstrong won the general classification. He was a key asset for Armstrong, being a very good climber as well as time-trialist. Hamilton appeared at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. In 2004, he won a gold medal at the individual time trial. The first doping test after his Olympic victory gave a positive result, but because the backup sample was frozen, no doping offence could be proven. After he failed further doping tests at the 2004 Vuelta a España, Hamilton was suspended for two years from the sport.
Bob "Bobke" Roll is an American former professional cyclist, author, and television sports commentator. He was a member of the 7-Eleven until 1990 and competed for the Motorola in 1991. In 1992 Roll moved to Greg LeMond's Z team and added mountain biking to his racing accomplishments. Roll continued racing mountain bikes professionally through 1998. Roll is known in the cycling world, and to his global cable television fans, as "Bobke".
Johan Bruyneel is a Belgian former professional road bicycle racer and a former directeur sportif for UCI ProTour team RadioShack–Nissan, and U.S. Postal Service, a US-based UCI ProTour cycling team. On 25 October 2018, the World Anti Doping Agency imposed a lifetime ban on Bruyneel for his role in a doping scandal that also saw Lance Armstrong stripped of his seven Tour de France titles.

Kristin Armstrong Savola is a former professional road bicycle racer and three-time Olympic gold medalist, the winner of the women's individual time trial in 2008, 2012, and 2016. Before temporarily retiring to start a family in 2009, she rode for Cervélo TestTeam in women's elite professional events on the National Racing Calendar (NRC) and UCI Women's World Cup. She announced a return to competitive cycling beginning in the 2011 season, competing for Peanut Butter & Co. TWENTY12 at the Redlands Classic.
José Luis Rubiera Vigil is a Spanish former professional road bicycle racer. He last rode for the UCI ProTour team Team RadioShack. Rubiera won his first professional race at the 1997 Giro d'Italia, winning stage 19. He won another stage in the 2000 Giro d'Italia and was part of three consecutive team time trial (TTT) stage wins in the Tour de France.
Iván Domínguez is a Cuban professional road bicycle racer for the Franco MRI Racing Team. In 2009 Dominguez also known as "The Cuban Missile" acquired U.S. citizenship.

Rock Racing was a cycling team founded in 2007 by Michael Ball. The team is affiliated with Ball's Rock & Republic clothing line. Rock Racing received media attention for hiring outcasts in the sport, including those tainted by performance-enhancing drug scandals. The team's "bad boy image" was furthered by the design of the team kits, and its motto was "Here to stay" which may have served to incite the anti-doping efforts of the time.
Dr. Lane Murray Unit is a women's prison of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice located in Gatesville, Texas. The prison is located on Texas State Highway 36, between Farm to Market Road 215 and Farm to Market Road 929. The 1,317 acres (533 ha) unit, which opened in November 1995, is co-located with the Christina Crain Unit, the Hilltop Unit, the Mountain View Unit, and the Woodman Unit. The unit is named after Lane Murray, who was the first superintendent of the Windham School District.
Lucile Plane State Jail is a Texas Department of Criminal Justice state jail for women located in unincorporated Liberty County, Texas. It is located on Texas State Highway 321, 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Dayton. The facility, on an approximately 394-acre (159 ha) plot of land, is co-located with the Hightower Prison Unit and the Henley State Jail. Plane is designed to hold 2,144 prisoners. Plane, the first women's state jail to be opened in Texas, was dedicated in June 1995.
Bill Strickland is an American journalist, book author and editor whose work focuses primarily on the sport of cycling. He has twice served as Bicycling magazine's editor in chief, from 1999 to 2003 and currently starting in 2014. Strickland is an amateur road and cyclocross racer, and rides for the club Kapelmuur Independent.

Daniel Holloway is an American cyclist, who previously rode for American amateur team Texas Roadhouse Racing. Holloway specialized in criteriums, track racing, and six-day racing. During his career, Holloway has won over 20 national titles, a Pan American title in 2018, and a gold medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. On June 2, 2021, Daniel Holloway announced his retirement from professional cycling. On September 3, 2023, Daniel Holloway returned to the men's Pro Peloton at The Gateway Cup to be the first cyclist to ever race, film and narrate with live color commentary.

Red Hook Crit was a criterium cycle race, held annually in Red Hook, Brooklyn starting in 2008. The series was founded by David Trimble. Red Hook races were also held in three European cities: Milan starting in 2010, Barcelona starting in 2013, and at the Greenwich Peninsula, London in 2015.
Justin Williams is a Belizean-American cyclist who currently is a rider-manager for UCI Continental team L39ION of Los Angeles. He began racing as a teen and won multiple amateur US National Championships in track, road, and criterium. He focuses on increasing the diversity of the sport and founded and manages a team in order to mentor young African American and Hispanic riders.
On the night of May 11, 2022, professional cyclist Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson was fatally shot by Kaitlin Marie Armstrong, at a friend's home in Austin, Texas. Armstrong, a yoga instructor and licensed realtor, committed the crime out of jealousy triggered by Wilson's romantic encounter with her on-and-off boyfriend pro cyclist Colin Strickland. Prior to her conviction, Armstrong has had flight attempts both as a wanted person and a detainee: she had spent 43 days at large until her capture in Costa Rica, where authorities said she used different names and changed her appearance to set up a new life, and would attempt to flee from custody on the eve of her trial over a year later.
