Colombo House [1] is a residential college at the University of New South Wales' Kensington campus. Colombo House admitted its first residents in 2014, following a redevelopment of the university's Kensington Colleges.
Colombo House is named in honor of the University of New South Wales' involvement in the Colombo Plan, with the university having its first intake of Colombo Plan students in 1952. [2] Born out of a Commonwealth Conference of Foreign Ministers, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1950, The Colombo Plan provided South East Asian students with opportunities to study at international universities in fields of study as yet unavailable to them in their home countries. Graduates of the Colombo Plan went on to be some of the region's top level political leaders and captains of industry, including Former Prime Minister of Nepal, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Singapore's current Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan.

Colombo House won the first Intercollege Cup held between Fig Tree College, UNSW Hall and Colombo House in October 2014.
Colombo House will cater for 242 students in single occupancy, dormitory style rooms, all with private en suites. [5] The College will have expansive common and study areas as well as a rooftop garden with views across the Randwick Racecourse to the Sydney skyline. Landscaped garden spaces will be shared with Basser, Philip Baxter, Goldstein College and Fig Tree Hall.
Colombo House is a self-catered residence with communal kitchens on floors three to six, and a large catering size kitchen on the ground floor. Accommodation packages include free WIFI and weekly cleaning. There are also laundry facilities on the ground floor.

St. John Fisher College, known simply as John Fisher College and familiarly referred to as "Fisher", is a residential college of the University of Tasmania. Basser College, University of New South Wales is a residential college at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. Basser College and its two neighbouring Colleges, Goldstein and Phillip Baxter, are collectively known as the Kensington Colleges.
New College, University of New South Wales is a residential college, located in the UNSW campus in Sydney. The college is organised around on Anglican principles. About 250 undergraduate students, both local and international and of a variety of backgrounds, live in the original college building, and 315 graduate students are housed in the nearby New College Village. New College is also home to the Centre for Christian Apologetics, Scholarship and Education (CASE) which specialises in Christian apologetics.
Philip Baxter College, University of New South Wales is a residential college at the University of New South Wales in Kensington, Sydney, Australia. Phillip Baxter College and its two neighbouring Colleges, Goldstein and Basser, are collectively known as the Kensington Colleges. Philip Baxter college is the largest of The Kensington Colleges. Residents generally stay in Baxter for two or three years before ending their college tenure. A student had to remain at College for two and a half years, to be named Honorary College Valedictorian. Residents are provided with three meals per day during session at the nearby Goldstein Dining Hall, which is shared with residents of the other Kensington Colleges - Basser, Goldstein and Fig Tree Hall.
Goldstein College, University of New South Wales is one of the three original Kensington Colleges along with Phillip Baxter and Basser College, located in Australia. In 2012 and 2013, Goldstein residents resided in Baxter College during the University of New South Wales (UNSW) major student accommodation redevelopment project.
Warrane College UNSW is an affiliated residential college at the University of New South Wales, Australia. The name of the college is derived from the Aboriginal word for the Sydney Cove area, "Warrang", highlighting the recognition by Warrane and UNSW of Australia's indigenous people as original inhabitants of land on which they are located. In 2021, Warrane celebrated 50 years since its official opening.
International House is the second largest residential college of the University of Melbourne. It provides co-educational accommodation to 350 undergraduate and graduate students who are attending the University of Melbourne and nearby tertiary institutions. International House is a residential college situated on the St Lucia campus of the University of Queensland. IH provides fully catered accommodation for 200 undergraduate students, and self-catered accommodation for 38 postgraduate and mature-aged undergraduate students. Residents who live at IH are affectionately known around campus as 'Housies'.

The International Residential College was established in 2001, and is the newest residential college at the University of Virginia. It comprises Mary Munford, Roberta Gwathmey, Yen, and Hoxton dorms, all of which existed before the IRC was established. The IRC houses 317 students of all years at UVA, with international students making up 30% of the students living at the IRC, representing 29 countries.

Opened in 1961, the original Bruce Hall was a campus landmark and housed both the first undergraduate hall of residence at the university and the first in Australia to admit both men and women.
