University of New South Wales Cricket Club is a cricket club associated with the University of New South Wales, New South Wales, Australia. They are also known as the Bumble Bees and play in the Sydney Grade Cricket competition. [1] They were founded in 1951, beginning in the Municipal and Sydney Shires Cricket competition and entered the Sydney Grade Cricket competition in 1973. [2]

In the current season, 2018 to 2019, UNSWCC has fielded five graded sides plus one in the Metropolitan Cup competition, which is akin to 6th grade. It also has a First Grade Limited over plus T20 sides. In addition to these, Poidevin-Gray and A.W. Green Shield sides represent the UNSWCC and are development pathways for emerging young talent. [3] The University offers a range of scholarships for commencing students who are involved in the club, "both on and off the field". [4]

Aaron Christopher Bird is an Australian cricketer who currently plays first-class cricket for the New South Wales Blues. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler.

Sydney Grade Cricket is a cricket competition played in Sydney, Australia. As of the 2016/17 season, Sydney Grade Cricket is now referred to as NSW Premier Cricket. The name change was part of a Cricket Australia initiative to standardise the naming of the elite men's cricket competition within each state's capital city. Sean Abbott Australian cricketer

Sean Anthony Abbott is an Australian professional cricketer originally from Windsor in New South Wales who has represented his country internationally. After playing in junior cricket for Baulkham Hills Cricket Club, he progressed to play grade cricket for Parramatta District. Abbott completed his schooling at Gilroy College, Castle Hill. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed.

Kurtis Robert Patterson is an Australian cricketer, currently playing for the New South Wales cricket team in the Sheffield Shield, and the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League. Patterson scored a century on his first-class cricket debut for New South Wales in November 2011, becoming the youngest batsman to score a century in Sheffield Shield cricket. In January 2019, he made his Test debut for Australia against Sri Lanka, becoming the 457th person to play test cricket for Australia. He made a century in just his second test match in Canberra, also against Sri Lanka. He was not selected for the 2019 Ashes series and returned to play domestically in the 2019/2020 season.

Blake Dean is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and right arm leg spin bowler captain/coach of the Queanbeyan District Cricket Club, playing for the ACT Comets in the Futures League and Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League.

Christopher James Green is a South African cricketer. Green bowls right-arm off-break and bats right-handed, playing as an allrounder. He plays for New South Wales and the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League. He also plays Sydney Grade Cricket for Manly Warringah District Cricket Club. Green made his Thunder debut in the final round of the BBL04.

Sydney Thunder (WBBL)

The Sydney Thunder (WBBL) are an Australian women's Twenty20 cricket team based in Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales. They are one of two teams from Sydney to compete in the Women's Big Bash League, the other being the Sydney Sixers. The Thunder have claimed two WBBL titles, winning the league's inaugural championship and the 2020–21 title.

Alex Tyson Carey is an Australian cricketer and former Australian rules footballer. He is a wicket-keeper who plays for Australian national team. In domestic cricket he plays for South Australia and Adelaide Strikers. He was the captain of the Greater Western Sydney Giants in 2010, but when they joined the Australian Football League in 2012 he was left out of the squad and returned to his home state of South Australia, where he began to play domestic cricket.

Warwick James Adlam is an Australian cricketer, who played for New South Wales in List A cricket, as well as Australia at Under 19 level.

Georgia Redmayne Australian cricketer

Dr Georgia Prue Redmayne is an Australian cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper-batter for Queensland Fire and Brisbane Heat. She has also previously played for Worcestershire, New South Wales Breakers, Tasmania, Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers.

Lawrence Neil-Smith is an Australian cricketer. In May 2018, he signed a two year rookie contract with Tasmania ahead of the 2018-19 season. He made his first-class debut on 10 October 2019, for Tasmania in the 2019–20 Sheffield Shield season and was upgraded to a two year full contract. In September 2018, he was named in the Hobart Hurricanes' squad for the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy. He made his Twenty20 debut for the Hobart Hurricanes in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy on 5 October 2018. He is a right arm fast-medium bowler and batsman.
