The Raincoats are a British experimental post-punk band. Ana da Silva and Gina Birch formed the group in 1977 while they were students at Hornsey College of Art in London.
The Smiths is the self-titled debut studio album by English rock band the Smiths, released on 20 February 1984 by Rough Trade Records. After the original production by Troy Tate was felt to be inadequate, John Porter re-recorded the album in London, Manchester and Stockport during breaks in the band's UK tour during September 1983.
Colosseum are an English jazz rock band, mixing blues, rock and jazz-based improvisation. Colin Larkin wrote that "the commercial acceptance of jazz rock in the UK" was mainly due to the band. Between 1975 and 1978 a separate band Colosseum II existed playing progressive rock.
Blue Orchids are an English post-punk band formed in Manchester in 1979, when Martin Bramah decided to quit The Fall after playing on the band's debut album Live at the Witch Trials. Christened by Salford-based punk poet John Cooper Clarke the band recorded for Rough Trade and acted as backing band for the Velvet Underground's Nico before a 25-year period of intermittent activity and alternative identities.
Shockabilly was a band which included Eugene Chadbourne on guitar and vocals, Mark Kramer on bass guitar and organ, and David Licht on drums. Shockabilly released a number of albums during their brief existence (1982–1985); most were re-released. The music itself is mostly avant-garde reworkings of rockabilly and rock and roll standards.
Vietnam/Heaven is a compilation album by the band Shockabilly, one of the many projects of influential and prolific guitarist Eugene Chadbourne. The album is a combination of two previously unavailable LPs, and was extremely well received by critics. These recordings feature many sonic techniques that were later duplicated by bands such as Primus and Sonic Youth.
Philip John "Jon" Hiseman was an English drummer, recording engineer, record producer, and music publisher. He was married to saxophonist Barbara Thompson from 1967 until his death in 2018 following surgery to remove a brain tumour.

Box of Bongwater is a career-spanning four-disc box-set of the band Bongwater, released on October 20, 1998 through Shimmy Disc. It contains almost all of the band's recorded output, including four studio albums, an EP, a single, and an edit of a compilation track. The tracks were completely remastered by Alan Douches and Kramer for their inclusion in the set.
Support the Miners is a single released by American drummer Keith LeBlanc under the moniker The Enemy Within, released in October 1984 on Rough Trade Records. Similar to the re-issuing of No Sell Out the same year, Support the Miners was released to aid the miners strike in Great Britain, with the proceeds going to the "Miners Solidarity Fund". "Strike" features voice samples of Arthur Scargill, a trade unionist and former president of the National Union of Mineworkers.

"Hammer the Hammer" was released as a stand-alone single by Australian indie group The Go-Betweens. It was released as a 7" vinyl record on the Missing Link Records label in Australia in June 1982 and by Rough Trade Records in the United Kingdom in July, with "By Chance" as the B-side. Forster considered that "By Chance" was a personal break-through for him. Pitchfork Media describes "By Chance" as sounding "more than a bit like the early Smiths.
Live: ...Just Beautiful is a live performance album by Shockabilly, released in 1989 by Shimmy Disc. It includes live tracks recorded on tour between 1984 and 1985 in Austria, Germany and the United States in addition to remixed tracks taken from The Dawn of Shockabilly.
Heads Up is the third studio album by the American indie rock band Warpaint. It was released on September 23, 2016 on Rough Trade Records. Heads Up was produced by Warpaint and Jake Bercovici, who had previously worked with the band on their debut extended play, Exquisite Corpse (2008). The album was preceded by the single "New Song".
