Blood, Sweat & Tears is a jazz rock music group founded in New York City in 1967, noted for a combination of brass with rock instrumentation. In addition to original music, the group has performed popular songs by Laura Nyro, James Taylor, Carole King, the Band, the Rolling Stones, Billie Holiday and many others. The group has also adapted music from Erik Satie, Thelonious Monk and Sergei Prokofiev into their arrangements.
Longing in Their Hearts is the twelfth album by Bonnie Raitt, released in 1994. The album contained the mainstream pop hit, "Love Sneakin' Up On You," which reached #19 on the Billboard singles chart, and "You", which remains to date her only UK Top 40 hit, peaking at No. 31.
Legacy... Hymns and Faith is the fourteenth studio album by Christian singer and songwriter Amy Grant. It was her first overtly religious album since Lead Me On in 1988, and consists primarily of well-known hymns with a few original songs. Early pressings of the CD are in "double disc" format containing a music CD and a bonus DVD with a behind the scenes documentary in the studio recording the album. Grant released a follow-up to this album, Rock of Ages... Hymns and Faith in 2005.
Motion is the debut LP by The Cinematic Orchestra, released on 27 September 1999 on Ninja Tune. The album's concept came from core band member, Jason Swinscoe, who had amassed various samples - drum patterns, basslines and melody samples - that had inspired and influenced him. He then presented them to a group of musicians to learn and then improvise around. The resulting draft tracks were then re-mixed on computer by Swinscoe to create the finished album.
The Flowers of Hell are a transatlantic experimental orchestra made up of a revolving line-up of 16 or so independent musicians based in Toronto and London. Their mostly instrumental sound builds bridges between classical music and post-rock, shoegaze, space rock and drone music, often resulting in their being described as an orchestral extension of the work of The Velvet Underground and Spacemen 3. They are led by synesthete composer Greg Jarvis. Much of their repertoire is an exploration of the timbre-to-shape synesthesia that causes Jarvis to involuntarily perceive all sounds as floating abstract visual forms.
Love Lives Forever is the sixth studio album by American soul singer Minnie Riperton. Released posthumously in 1980, it was co-produced by her husband Richard Rudolph and released on her then-label Capitol Records. It consists of tracks Riperton recorded in 1978 during vocal sessions prior to her death, and music recorded after her early death, occurred on July 12, 1979.

The album was released in the UK on 27 August 2007, and in the US on 28 August.
Flowing Free Forever is the sixth album by American singer-songwriter Michael Martin Murphey. The album establishes Murphey's love of wide open spaces and his "desire to let his soul roam freely." The album was not as commercially successful as a few of his earlier releases, but "Murphey's visions and persona remain intact." The album contains the song "Cherokee Fiddle", which was later recorded by Johnny Lee for the film soundtrack for Urban Cowboy. Flowing Free Forever peaked at number 130 on the Billboard 200.
Let There Be Peace on Earth is the first Christmas album from American country music artist Vince Gill. It was released in 1993 on MCA Nashville. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," one of the album's tracks, peaked at #54 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.

Occupy This Album: 99 Songs for the 99 Percent is a four-disc compilation box set released in May 2012 through the record label Music for Occupy. The album concept, and initial production was initiated by Executive Producer Jason Samel. Jason Samel later recruited Producers Maegan Hayward, Alex Emanuel and Shirley Menard to assist with the project. The set consists of 99 songs inspired by or related to the Occupy movement. Proceeds from the album went "directly towards the needs of sustaining this growing movement."
New to This Town is the second solo studio album by American country music artist Kix Brooks. It was released on September 11, 2012, via Arista Nashville. It is Brooks' first album after his split as one half of Brooks & Dunn. Brooks produced the album and co-wrote nine of its twelve tracks. Its first single, the title track, features Joe Walsh on guitar and was co-produced by Jay DeMarcus, one third of Rascal Flatts. This album was followed by the soundtrack to Brooks' film Ambush at Dark Canyon, for which he composed most of the musical score and also starred in.
Hypnotic Eye is the thirteenth and final studio album by American rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, released in the UK on July 28, 2014 and in the United States on July 29, by Reprise Records. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming the only Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album ever to top the chart. Hypnotic Eye was nominated for the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. It would also be the Heartbreakers' final studio album before disbanding in 2017, following Petty's death in October of that same year.
Greg Jarvis is a Toronto born musician and composer best known for his work leading the orchestral rock group the Flowers Of Hell. Jarvis's compositions are largely informed by timbre-to-shape synesthesia, a neurological condition which causes him to see all sounds as layers of three dimensional shapes.
"O" is the third studio album from the orchestral rock group The Flowers of Hell. It consists of one song lasting 46 minutes in its stereo mix and 42 minutes in its surround sound mix. The release's liner notes state that the piece is an exploration of band leader Greg Jarvis's synesthesia and was conceived as a piece of absolute music. It consists of rehearsed improvisations performed with-in a 12 part fixed song structure, recorded in one take at the end of a 9000 km tour. In a 2010 interview with Spinner, Jarvis said that "O" was also designed to explore music's unique capabilities as an art form that unfolds over time.
Released in late 2012, Odes is the fourth studio album from The Flowers of Hell. It is a covers record and the first release from the group to feature vocals and verse-chorus-verse song structures. It was premiered by Lou Reed, who opened the twelfth and final episode of his New York Shuffle radio show praising the group and airing three songs in a row, "O Superheroin", "Mr. Tambourine Man", and "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft".
Live At The Music Gallery is a live album and concert film which captures the launch show for Flowers Of Hell’s Come Hell Or High Water LP. It was initially released as a DVD package with the group’s 2010 album, “O”.
The Flowers Of Hell is the 2006 instrumental self-titled debut album from the experimental rock group The Flowers of Hell. It was largely recorded by Tim Holmes of Death In Vegas at the Contino Rooms in London. Peter ‘Sonic Boom’ Kember of Spacemen 3 mentored the band through its creation, mixed and performed on the track 'Through The F Hole', contributed a liner note poem to the Japanese CD version, and guest deejayed at the record's London release concert. Band leader Greg Jarvis has stated that the goal of the album was to build classical tangents from The Velvet Underground & Nico and the Spacemen 3 / early Spiritualized sound.
