In music, a radio edit or radio mix is a modification, typically truncated or censored, intended to make a song more suitable for airplay. It may be censored for profanity, vulgarities, or subject matter; or adjusted for length, instrumentation, or form. Radio edits may also be used for commercial single versions, which may be denoted as the 7" version.
"Rockaway Beach" is a song by American punk rock band Ramones, released in 1977 from the band's third studio album Rocket to Russia. The song was written by bassist Dee Dee Ramone in the style of the Beach Boys and early surf rock bands. The song is about Rockaway Beach in Queens, where Dee Dee liked to spend time. Guitarist Johnny Ramone claimed that Dee Dee was "the only real beachgoer" in the group. Released in 1977, it was the Ramones' highest-charting single in their career, peaking at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"747" is a song by Swedish alternative rock band Kent. It's the final song on their album Isola and was released as third single in July 1998 with B-sides "Din skugga" and "Elever". It's been recorded both with Swedish and English lyrics. It quickly became a fan favorite, and for eight years, the band always ended their concerts with it.

Singer Gruff Rhys has variously described the track as being about the extinction of mankind and as "a romantic song about growing old".
"Lazer Beam" is a single by Super Furry Animals. It was the only single to be released from the Love Kraft album and reached #28 in the UK Singles Chart, and as of 2023, remains their last UK Top 40 hit. The song is "about making your own reality" and tells the story of aliens coming down to earth to shoot humans with laser beams which "make them intelligent rather than being jerks". Some of singer Gruff Rhys's lyrics were lifted from a speech made by Tony Blair at the Labour Party Conference in 2004.
"Sentimental Lady" is a song written by Bob Welch. It was originally recorded for Fleetwood Mac's 1972 album Bare Trees, but was re-recorded by Welch on his debut solo album, French Kiss, in 1977. It is a romantic song, originally written for Welch's first wife. Welch recorded it again in 2003 for his album His Fleetwood Mac Years & Beyond.
The Soldiers is a singing trio consisting of serving British Army soldiers, whose debut album, Coming Home, was released on 26 October 2009, and who have since continued their singing career whilst remaining full-time army personnel. Signed to CPW Productions Warner Bros. Records, the trio consists of Ryan Idzi, Richie Maddocks and Gary Chilton.

All the album's contents are cover versions apart from title track "Coming Home", which celebrated those who have made it back and remembers the fallen. Proceeds will go to the Army Benevolent Fund, Help For Heroes and other groups which support their colleagues. Sgt Maddocks said: "They're feel-good songs that you'd associate with the guys in the army".

"Hitz" is a single from English record production duo Chase & Status, featuring vocals from British rapper Tinie Tempah. The single was released in the United Kingdom on 15 July 2011 as the fourth single from their second studio album, No More Idols. It peaked at number 39 on the UK Singles Chart and number 11 on the UK Dance Chart. The song features a spoken word sample from the 1973 film The Harder They Come. On 22 February 2012, it was featured in the BBC drama series Waterloo Road. Tinie re-used the "tick, tick, tick, tick, boom to you fellas" vocal sample on the Demonstration bonus track "5 Minutes", produced by Zane Lowe.

With limited national radio support and no release separate from the album digital download, which was already available, it is perhaps unsurprising that the song did not chart.

The song was sent to mainstream radio on March 17, 2015 in the US. The song was written and produced by Tiago Carvalho and Gary Go, with additional writing by Rihanna.
"Surfin'" is a song by American rapper Kid Cudi. It was released on September 30, 2016, as the lead single from his sixth studio album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'. The song was written alongside fellow American musician Pharrell Williams, who also makes a vocal appearance on the extended outro of the album version of the song. The song was later included on Cudi’s first greatest hits album The Boy Who Flew to the Moon, Vol. 1 (2022).
"RoboCop" is a song by American record producer and vocalist Kanye West from his fourth studio album, 808s & Heartbreak (2008). The song contains background vocals from Tony Williams and Jeff Bhasker. It was solely produced by West, who served as a songwriter alongside Esthero, Malik Yusef, Consequence, Kid Cudi, Williams, Bhasker, T-Pain, and Young Jeezy. Due to the embodiment of Patrick Doyle's work, a songwriting credit for him was added. The song was recorded in 2008 across numerous studios, being tweaked to perfection. Manny Marroquin explained how it was a challenge to make, confirming that multiple versions were created. An art pop number with an orchestral style, it embodies portions of "Kissing in the Rain", performed by Doyle.
