LCD Soundsystem is an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2002 by musician James Murphy, co-founder of DFA Records. The band's current lineup consists of Murphy, Nancy Whang, Pat Mahoney (drums), Gavin Rayna Russom (synthesizer), Tyler Pope, Al Doyle, Matt Thornley, and Korey Richey. They are currently signed to both DFA and Columbia Records.
