Connecticut's 25th State Senate district

Connecticut's 25th State Senate district elects one member of the Connecticut State Senate. The district consists of all of Norwalk and part of Darien. Its current senator is Democrat Bob Duff. [1]

Tony Hwang is an American real estate agent and politician. A Republican, he is a member of the Connecticut State Senate, for the 28th District, which covers parts of Fairfield County. Hwang became a state representative in 2008 and won re-election in 2010 and 2012. He was elected to the state Senate in 2014 and subsequently reelected. He is the assistant Senate Minority Leader.

The 2018 Connecticut Senate election was held on November 6, 2018, concurrently with the elections for the Connecticut House of Representatives, to elect members to the Connecticut General Assembly. All 36 seats in the Connecticut Senate were up for election. The election resulted in Democrats expanding control in both chambers of the Connecticut General Assembly, ending the split control in the Senate, that had been in place since the 2016 elections. Primary elections were held on August 14, 2018.

The 2020 Connecticut State Senate election took place on November 3, 2020. Part of the biennial 2020 United States elections. Connecticut voters elected senators in all of the 36 State Senate districts. State senators serve two-year terms in the Connecticut State Senate, with all 36 of the seats up for election each cycle. The primary elections on August 11, 2020, determined which candidates appeared on the ballot for the general election. Four primary elections were cancelled, including three Republican primary elections. As a result, four Incumbent candidates ran uncontested.

Frederick Morehouse Salmon was an American politician and businessman who served five consecutive terms as Connecticut State Comptroller from 1923 to 1933. A Republican from Westport, Connecticut, Salmon also represented the 25th District in the Connecticut State Senate from 1915 to 1919.
