Nicholas Christopher Michael Ring was an Irish hurler whose league and championship career at senior level with the Cork county team spanned twenty-four years from 1939 to 1963. He established many championship records, including career appearances (65), scoring tally (33-208) and number of All-Ireland medals won (8); however, these records were subsequently bested by a number of players. Ring is widely regarded as one of the greatest hurlers in the history of the game, with many former players, commentators and fans rating him as the number one player of all time.

Diarmuid O'Sullivan is an Irish hurling coach and hurler who plays for Cork Premier Championship club Cloyne. He played for the Cork senior hurling team for 12 years, during which time he usually lined out as a full-back. A fan favourite who was noted for his swashbuckling style during his inter-county career, O'Sullivan is considered a "Cork legend".

Cloyne GAA club is located in the small town of Cloyne in County Cork, Ireland. The club plays in the Imokilly division of Cork GAA. Martin Coleman Jnr is an Irish hurler who plays as a goalkeeper for club side Ballinhassig, divisional side Carrigdhoun and formerly at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team.
Anthony Nash is a retired Irish hurler who played for the Kanturk and Limerick Championship Club South Liberties clubs. He played for the Cork senior hurling team for 15 seasons, during which time he lined out as a goalkeeper.

He played for the Cork senior hurling team for 16 seasons, during which time he usually lined out as a goalkeeper. Noted for his innovative and sometimes controversial approach as a player and his championing of the cause of player welfare, Cusack is also regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation.

Daniel J. Clifford, better known as Donal Clifford, is an Irish former hurler and manager. At club level he played with Cloyne and Glen Rovers and was also a member of the Cork senior hurling team. Regarded as one of Cork's greatest ever underage players, Clifford was the first player to wear protective headgear in a senior inter-county match.
Paudie O'Sullivan is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Premier Championship club Cloyne and Cork Senior Championship division Imokilly. He usually plays as a full-forward. O'Sullivan is a former member of the Cork senior hurling team.
Imokilly GAA is a Gaelic football and Hurling division in the east of Cork, Ireland. The division includes towns such as Midleton, Cobh, and Youghal. It is one of eight divisions of Cork County Board. It organizes competitions for the clubs within the division, from Under 12 up to the adult level. The winners of these competitions compete against other divisional champions to determine which club is the county champion. In addition, the division selects football and hurling teams from the adult teams playing at junior level or county intermediate level, and these then compete for the Cork Senior Football Championship and Cork Senior Hurling Championship. The division is known best for its hurlers, and in recent times, players from here have dominated on the Cork GAA senior hurling team.
Darren Gleeson is an Irish hurler and manager who plays for Tipperary Senior Championship club Portroe and is currently managing the Antrim senior hurling team. He played for the Tipperary senior hurling team for 10 seasons, during which time he usually lined out as a goalkeeper.
Seán Óg Ó hAilpín is a Fijian-Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer.
