Copenhagen Marriott Hotel is located at Kalvebod Brygge 5 in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is owned by BC Hospitality and operated by Marriott International under the Mariott brand. It was the chain's first hotel in Scandinavia and is Denmark's largest five-star hotel. [1]

Islamabad Marriott Hotel bombing Suicide bombing at the Marriott Hotel in Pakistan on 20 September 2008

The Islamabad Marriott Hotel bombing occurred on the night of 20 September 2008, when a dump truck filled with explosives was detonated in front of the Marriott Hotel in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, killing at least 54 people, injuring at least 266 and leaving a 60 ft wide, 20 ft deep crater outside the hotel. The majority of the casualties were Pakistanis; at least five foreign nationals were also killed and fifteen others reported injured. The attack occurred only hours after President Asif Ali Zardari made his first speech to the Pakistani parliament. The Marriott was the most prestigious hotel in the capital, and was located near government buildings, diplomatic missions, embassies and high commissions.

North Zealand

North Zealand, also North Sealand, refers to the northern part of the Danish island of Zealand which is not clearly defined but generally covers the area north of Copenhagen. The Danish tourist authorities have recently introduced the term Danish Riviera to cover the area in view of its increasing importance for tourism. The area not only has three magnificent royal castles but offers resorts with sandy beaches, as well as lakes and unspoiled forests. In addition to Kronborg Castle, three of the North Zealand forest areas used for royal par force hunting are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
