Orlando World Center Marriott is a hotel and convention center near Orlando, Florida. The resort, which is close to Walt Disney World, is located off of World Center Drive, which was renamed from International Drive to the resort's namesake after the southern extension of International Drive was built.
Marriott's Orlando World Center opened on March 24, 1986. At the time it was the largest hotel in Florida, and it is now the largest Marriott in the world. [2] The 2,008-room, 28-story building contains a nine-story lobby atrium, 38,000-square-foot (3,500 m2) and also has the largest pillar-free ballroom in the world featuring 105,000 square feet (9,800 m2) of meeting space. In total there is more than 450,000 square feet (42,000 m2) of meeting space, six swimming pools (the main lagoon pool is the largest in Orlando), and ten restaurants and lounges. [3] The 200-acre (0.81 km2) resort property is also home to the 18-hole Hawk's Landing Golf Course, and the Marriott Vacation Club resorts of Marriott's Sabal Palms, Marriott's Royal Palms and Marriott's Imperial Palm Villas.
In 2002, the hotel completed building a brand new 500-room tower, making the hotel the world's largest Marriott.
In 2007, the hotel added 104,000 square feet (9,700 m2) of meeting space called the Cypress Ballroom which now connects with the Convention Center.
In 2008, the resort was awarded Green Lodging certification by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. [4]
In the Nickelodeon show Get the Picture , winning contestants could win trips to the Orlando Marriott World Center. Photos of the resort circa 1991–1993 can be seen on the show.
Marriott currently partners with Encore Event Technologies to provide in-house audiovisual services to guests, corporations, and hotel staff.
In 2022, the resort hosted the America First Political Action Conference, a gathering promoting white-nationalist and far-right ideology. [5]

It is the only moderate level Disney resort with suites, a cafeteria-style restaurant, a formal dinner restaurant, a gift shop, an arcade, one large pool, three quiet pools, a salon, fitness center, and a dance club. In total, there are 71 meeting rooms, 11 exhibit halls, and three multi-purpose ballrooms. The Tampa Convention Center is a mid-sized convention center located in downtown Tampa, Florida at the mouth of the Hillsborough River. It has both waterfront views of Tampa Bay and views of the city's skyline. Harbour Island is across the eponymous bridge on the other side of the Garrison Channel. The center is connected to the neighboring Channelside District and Ybor City via the TECO Line Streetcar, which has a station across the street. The center opened in 1990 and encompasses 600,000 square feet (56,000 m2) in total. It has a 200,000 square feet (19,000 m2) exhibit hall, a ballroom capable of accommodating over 2,000 guests, and 36 meeting rooms that can be adjusted to various sizes. The facility hosts over 300 events per year.
The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown is a $350 million (USD), high rise convention hotel, located on 3rd Street north of Van Buren Street in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona, adjacent to the Arizona Center office/retail complex and the Phoenix Convention Center, which had its North building opened in early 2008. At 31 floors it has surpassed the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, at 24 floors, as the tallest hotel tower in Arizona.

JW Marriott Indianapolis is a hotel in downtown Indianapolis, adjacent to the Indiana Convention Center. The new JW Marriott Indianapolis is part of the $450 million Marriott Place, consisting of five Marriott hotels all connected to the Indiana Convention Center. The City of Indianapolis contributed $48 million to the project. The hotel is 34 floors and 376 feet (115 m) tall, making it the 7th-tallest building in Indianapolis and tallest hotel in Indiana. The facility also has a 950 space underground parking garage. It is the third-largest JW Marriott hotel in the world based on its 1,005 guest rooms, and is owned and managed by White Lodging.
The Washington Marriott Wardman Park was a hotel on Connecticut Avenue adjacent to the Woodley Park station of the Washington Metro in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The hotel had 1,152 rooms, 195,000 square feet (18,100 m2) of event space, and 95,000 square feet (8,800 m2) of exhibit space. It opened in 1918 and closed in 2020. The owner filed for bankruptcy in 2021 and the property was sold to Carmel Partners for $152.2 million, with plans for redevelopment.
The Dearborn Inn, A Marriott Hotel is a historic hotel in the suburban city of Dearborn, Michigan in Metro Detroit. It opened in 1931 and closed in February 2023 for renovations. It was conceived by Henry Ford, who saw a need for food and accommodations for visitors flying into the nearby Ford Airport, making it one of the first airport hotels. It is located at 20301 Oakwood Boulevard near The Henry Ford and the world headquarters building of Ford Motor Company. Albert Kahn designed the Dearborn Inn in the Georgian architectural style. The Dearborn Inn is owned by Ford Motor Land Development Corporation and managed by Marriott International.
