Corey Cogdell (born September 2, 1986 in Palmer, Alaska [1] ) is an American trapshooter. She is a two-time Olympic bronze medal winner in the Women's Trap; at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics. She has won eight ISSF World Cup medals and a bronze medal at the 2007 Pan American Games. Cogdell also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. [2]

Career

Corey made the National Development Team in 2006 at Fall Selection when she placed first in the junior women's trap competition. [3] That same day, she made the National Team when her score also placed her third in the open women's trap competition. [3] In 2007 Corey was living at the Olympic Training Center as a resident athlete. [3]

Corey took a break from competition in 2014 following her marriage, returning in 2015 to win a gold medal and Olympic Quota place at the first World Cup event of the year in Acapulco. [4]

In 2018, Corey won a World Cup gold medal with Casey Wallace in the Mixed Team Trap at the Tucson World Cup. [5]

Personal life

Cogdell is married to former NFL defensive tackle Mitch Unrein, whom she started dating in 2010. [2] [6]

Peter Robert Russell Wilson MBE, is a retired English sport shooter who specialises in the double trap. He is the current world record holder for the event, having scored 198 out of 200 at a World Cup event in Arizona during 2012. A member of the British team for the 2012 Summer Olympics, he was the youngest competitor in the men's double trap event, where he won the gold medal.


Torben Grimmel is a Danish sport shooter. Specialising in the ISSF 50m prone rifle event, Grimmel won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He was the European Junior Champion in 1995. As of 2023 he has won fourteen ISSF World Cup medals, and two ISSF World Cup finals.

Yukie Nakayama is a Japanese trap shooter, who competed at three Olympic games and won the silver medal at the 2013 ISSF World Championships. Nakayama made her official Olympic debut at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where she finished thirteenth in the women's double trap, with a score of 94 points, tying her position with Finland's Pia Julin.

Dominic Grazioli is an American trap shooter. He won a total of ten medals for men's trap shooting at the ISSF World Cup. He also captured a silver medal at the 1997 Championship of the Americas in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and achieved a fourth-place finish at the 1999 ISSF World Shooting Championships in Tampere, Finland. Additionally, Grazioli serves as a reserve major in the U.S. Air Force at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Fátima Gálvez Marín is a Spanish sport shooter. She was the World champion in the individual trap event at the 2015 World Shotgun Championships, and won the Olympic champion in the team event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Lin Yi-chun is a Taiwanese sport shooter. She won two medals, gold and silver, in the women's double trap, at the 2001 and 2002 ISSF World Shooting Championships in Cairo, Egypt and Lahti, Finland, respectively. She also captured a bronze medal in the women's trap at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, accumulating a score of 80 clay pigeons and a bonus of 1 target from a shoot-off. She won gold at the 2023 ISSF World Shooting Championships in trap.
