Corrado Rizza (born 4 August 1961) is an Italian DJ and producer.

Career

Rizza was born in Rome, Italy, and was working as a DJ from the early 80's in some of the main clubs of Rome/Italy and in US: from Histeria and Gilda. [1] [2] [3] in Rome to Lavo in NY and Delano [4] in Miami. [5]

At the end of the 80's he was one of the first Italo house producer [6] with his band the Jam Machine [7] and after he found Livexpress Production with Max and Frank Minoia, he created in 1991 the label Lemon Records with Gino Woody Bianchi and Dom Scuteri and he produced club hits [8] such as "Give me rhythm" by Black Connection, [9] [10] [11] "Satisfy your dream" by Paradise Orchestra, [12] "Nothing has been proved" by Strings Of Love, "Everyday" by Jam Machine, "Tomorrow" by Daybreak feat. Karen Jones, [13] "In the Heat" by Global Mind, etc.

In his career has collaborated as producer [14] and remixer with artists and djs such as: Marshall Jefferson, Arthur Baker, Eric Kupper, [15] Paul Oakenfold, [16] Full Intention, Black Box, Miguel Migs [17] and many more. In 1996 he had a Gold Record after he mixed with Gino Woody Bianchi the compilation Hit Mania Dance 96 [18] [ circular reference ] for 70.000 copies sold in Italy.

His productions were included inside important compilations of big djs and labels such as Pete Tong, [19] Tony Humphries, Joey Negro, Judge Jules, Norman Jay, Ministry of Sound, FFRR Records, Renaissance, Cafe' Mambo, etc. He realized as director the documentary: "Beat Parade" (2009) [20] and "Strani Ritmi" (2014). [21] He produced few albums such as: "No Big Deal" by Jive (JVC Records – Japan – 1997), [22] "Harmonoize" by Kitchentools – (Virgin Records – Italy – 2001) [23] and many albums by Jingle Jungle Boyz [24] including inside the compilation Hit Mania Dance, [25] the most famous Italian dance compilation that he coordinated for few years that yearly sold one million of copies for over a decade. He has written also soundtracks: "Verso Sud" by Pasquale Pozzessere and "Anche i Commercialisti hanno un anima" by Maurizio Ponzi and books: "Beatles Dolce Vita", [26] "Piper Generation, [27] "I Love The Nightlife" with the dj Marco Trani [28] and "Anni Vinilici". [29]

In 2019 Corrado Rizza directed and produced a documentary movie called Larry's Garage about the DJ Larry Levan from the Paradise Garage in New York City. [30]

Joshua Winkelman, better known by his stage name Josh Wink, is an American electronic dance music DJ, label owner, producer, and remixer. He is a native of Philadelphia, United States. Gino Soccio is a Canadian disco record producer based in Montreal. His only US Billboard Hot 100 entry was the #48 hit single "Dancer" in 1979, but he did hit #1 on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart twice. "Dancer" peaked at #46 in the UK Singles Chart in May 1979. Soccio's third biggest hit, "It's Alright" / "Look at Yourself", from his album, Face to Face, reached #2 for 5 weeks also on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. "Turn It Around" was released only as a single in 1984.

"Queen of Chinatown" is a song by French singer Amanda Lear, released in 1977 by Ariola Records. It met with a big chart success and remains one of Lear's biggest hits to date. The song's lyrics were written by Lear herself and the music was composed by Anthony Monn, her musical partner at that time. It's an uptempo disco composition with characteristic oriental elements. The song was released in late 1977 as the sixth and final single from Lear's debut album, I Am a Photograph (1977), however, was included only on the album's re-issue, replacing "La Bagarre". The B-side of the single was "Alphabet", which had earlier received a separate A-side single release in the Netherlands. In Japan, "The Lady in Black" was released on the side B.

The Jam Machine, also known under the pseudonym The Strings of Love, is an Italo house group created by Corrado Rizza with Max and Frank Minoia. The trio scored a minor UK chart hit in 1989 with the song "Everyday" at No. 68. It was released by the UK label Deconstruction after it was licensed from the Italian label X-Energy.
