Cory Allen (born 11 February 1993) is a retired Welsh international rugby union player. A centre or wing, he played for Cardiff Blues and the Ospreys. Allen joined the Dragons in 2021, but did not feature for the side.
At age 18, Allen made his professional debut for Cardiff Blues in October 2011, starting against Newcastle Falcons in the Anglo-Welsh Cup. [1]
Allen was named man of the match on 20 April 2014, as Cardiff beat the Scarlets 17–13 at the Millennium Stadium in the annual Judgement Day match. [2]
Allen joined the Ospreys in 2017, after six years with Cardiff. [3] While with the Ospreys, Allen suffered a serious knee injury in September 2019, and did not feature for the club again prior to his release in 2021. [4]
In 2021, Allen joined Dragons RFC. Soon after joining, he suffered a further setback on his injury recovery. [5] Allen never featured for the Dragons, announcing his retirement on 29 December 2022. [6]
Allen started for Wales U20 against New Zealand U20 on 8 June 2012, Wales defeating them 9–6 to earn their first win at this age group. [7]
He was selected in the Wales Sevens squad for 2012-13 [8]
In January 2013 he was selected in the Wales Under 20 squad for the 2013 Under 20 Six Nations Championship. [9] He made his full international debut versus Argentina on 16 Nov 2013. He suffered a shoulder injury during the match, sidelining him for the remainder of the tournament. [10] This injury ultimately ruled him out of the 2014 Six Nations. [11]
Allen scored a hat-trick of tries in Wales first game of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, a 54–9 win against Uruguay at the Millennium Stadium on 20 September. [12] Allen was named man of the match, [13] but suffered a hamstring injury which ruled him out for the remainder of the tournament. [14]
Allen again scored a hat-trick of tries for Wales in a match against RGC 1404, in the warm-up for 2017 summer tour of Tonga and Samoa. [15]
Allen was named in the Wales squad for the 2017 Wales rugby union tour of Tonga and Samoa, coming off the bench against Tonga, [16] and starting on the wing against Samoa. [17]

Allen comes from a sporting family: his mother Julie represented Wales in basketball and appeared in the Commonwealth Games, brother Ashton has also represented Wales in basketball, and his younger brother Mason Grady has followed in his footsteps, playing for Cardiff Rugby as a centre. [18]
The Fiji national rugby union team represents Fiji in men's international rugby union. Fiji competed in the Pacific Tri-Nations and now competes in its successor tournament Pacific Nations Cup. Fiji also regularly plays test matches during the June and November test windows. They have beaten the major rugby playing sides of Wales, Scotland, Australia, France, Italy, Argentina and England. The only major sides Fiji are yet to beat are New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland.

Gavin Michael Thomas is a Welsh former international rugby union player who played as a flanker. He played his club rugby for Tondu, Bridgend, Bath, the Ospreys, the Scarlets and the Newport Gwent Dragons, and was capped 24 times for Wales.
Kenneth James Owens is a former Welsh rugby union player who played as a hooker for the Scarlets and Wales. He made his debut for the Scarlets in 2006, taking over from Matthew Rees as their first-choice hooker upon Rees' departure for the Cardiff Blues in 2013. He also served as backup to Rees, among others, for Wales following his debut against Namibia at the 2011 Rugby World Cup. In 2016, he took over as Wales' first-choice hooker, and in January 2023, following almost a year out with a back injury, he was named as captain for the 2023 Six Nations Championship.
Jamie Huw Roberts is a Welsh former professional rugby union player, who played as a centre.
Rhys Priestland is a Welsh international rugby union player who plays as a fly-half for Cardiff Rugby and the Wales national team. Although he primarily plays as a fly-half, he is also capable of playing at full-back. Born in Llangathen, Carmarthenshire, he began his career with Llanelli RFC before progressing to the Scarlets regional side. After eight years with the Scarlets, he moved to England to play for Bath in the English Premiership, where he spent six seasons before returning to Wales with Cardiff Rugby. He made his Wales debut in 2011, and earned 50 caps – including being named in the squad for the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups – before his move to England made him ineligible for selection.
Dan Lydiate is a Wales international rugby union player. A flanker, Lydiate was raised in Llandrindod Wells and is a product of the Newport Gwent Dragons academy.
Samson Lee is a former Wales international rugby union player. Lee played for the Scarlets, as well as local teams Llanelli and Ammanford. His position is prop forward. Lee has represented Wales, making his debut against Argentina in November 2013.
Tangaki Taulupe Faletau, commonly known as Toby Faletau but professionally as Taulupe Faletau, is a Welsh professional rugby union player for Cardiff Rugby in the United Rugby Championship and has represented the Wales national team for over 10 years. The back row forward played for Cross Keys RFC, Newport RFC and Newport Gwent Dragons in Wales before joining Bath in England in 2016. He joined present club Cardiff in 2022.
Jordan Rhys Williams is a Welsh rugby union footballer who plays for the Dragons. His regular position is at full-back, but he has also played at fly-half and on the wing. He began his career with amateur side New Dock Stars RFC, before being signed by Llanelli RFC and ultimately breaking into the Scarlets regional side. However, he struggled to find playing time with the Scarlets and moved to Bristol in 2016, only to return to Wales with the Dragons two years later. He has also played internationally for Wales at under-16, under-18 and under-20 level, as well as for the Wales Sevens team.
Ashley Beck is a Wales international rugby union player. Beck currently played for Merthyr RFC, and has previously played for Worcester Warriors and the Ospreys. He has represented Wales and Wales U20. He is the current attack coach of Premiership Women's Rugby side Worcester Warriors Women.
Hallam Benjamen Amos is a former Welsh rugby union player who played for Cardiff Rugby and Newport Gwent Dragons. He mostly played as a wing, but he was also capable of playing at fullback and as a centre. In October 2021, Amos announced his retirement from professional rugby union to focus on his medical career.

The 2015 Rugby World Cup was an international rugby union tournament held in England and Wales from 18 September until 31 October 2015. 20 national teams competed, each bringing a squad of 31 players to the tournament. Each team had to submit their squad to World Rugby by 31 August 2015. A player could be replaced for medical or compassionate reasons, but would be unable to return to the squad. Any replacement players had an enforced stand-down period of 48 hours before they could take the field.

Max Llewellyn is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for Gloucester as a centre. He is a Wales under-20 international. Llewellyn came through the Cardiff academy, and made his professional debut with the club in 2017, before signing with Gloucester in 2023. Mason Grady is a Welsh professional rugby union player who plays as a centre for United Rugby Championship club Cardiff and the Wales national team.
In 2017, the Wales national rugby union team's summer tour saw them play test matches against Tonga on 16 June and Samoa on 23 June. The match against Tonga was played in Auckland, New Zealand, due to concerns over the state of Teufaiva Sport Stadium in Nukuʻalofa. Wales won the match 24–6, before beating Samoa 19–17 in Apia. A veteran of the 2009 and 2013 Lions tours but unselected for their 2017 tour to New Zealand, centre Jamie Roberts captained Wales on this tour, which also saw lock Adam Beard make his international debut; Beard went on to play for the Lions on their 2021 tour to South Africa.
