Costas Kapitanis (born 21 May 1964 in Larnaca, Cyprus) is a former Cypriot professional football referee. [1] He was a full international for FIFA since 1996. He was appointed on the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship and refereed some UEFA Champions League matches.

Alan Gordon Snoddy is a retired Northern Irish football referee, known for having refereed two matches in the FIFA World Cup: one in 1986 and one in 1990. At the 1986 World Cup Snoddy was appointed to referee the game between Morocco and Portugal in Guadalajara which ended 3–1 to Morocco. In the 1990 World Cup Snoddy refereed the game between Colombia and West Germany which ended 1–1 at the San Siro in Milan.

The 2008–09 season is Anorthosis' 60th consecutive season in the Cypriot First Division. The team finished 1st in the league in the previous season so it will represent Cyprus in the Champions League. The first training session for the season took take place at the training ground at Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium on June 18, 2008. On August 27, 2008, they became the first Cypriot football club to reach the group stages of the Champions League, defeating Olympiacos of Greece in the third qualifying round.

Alexandru Dan Tudor is a retired Romanian football referee. He refereed his first match in the Romanian First Division on 15 May 1999, when he officiated a match between Universitatea Craiova and Universitatea Cluj. He was a FIFA-listed referee from 2001 to 2016, and refereed his first UEFA Champions League qualifying match on 31 July 2002. He took charge of a UEFA Cup first round match between Celta de Vigo and Odense Boldklub two months later, but it was not until 4 November 2008 that he refereed his first Champions League group stage match, when he officiated a match between Barcelona and Basel. The 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group 8 was a UEFA qualifying group for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The group comprised Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Iceland, Malta and Sweden.

The six teams in this group played against each other on a home-and-away basis. The group winner Sweden qualified for the 17th FIFA World Cup held in South Korea and Japan. The runner-up Turkey advanced to the UEFA Play-off and played against Austria.
