Covers is the first English-language cover album released by Beni Arashiro under her new label Universal Music Japan under the mononym Beni on March 21, 2012. [2] This album contains cover songs from popular Japanese male singers in Japan. However, the original Japanese lyrics have been translated to English by Beni herself. [3] The 13th song will be chosen by the fans through a request page. [4] [5] The song chosen by the fans is Naoto Inti Raymi's song "Ima no Kimi wo Wasurenai" [6] Covers has been certified Gold by RIAJ for shipment of 100,000 copies. On 16 May, it was announced that Covers sold over 100,000 copies.making it Beni's highest ranked and best selling album so far. The website announced on 21 August, that a Deluxe version of "Covers" was going to be released on 12 September 2012. The new version would include a DVD with music video's and live video footage. [7]
Covers is the first cover album released by BENI and first album recording in English since her debut. It is a Japanese to English cover album that includes covers of songs by Japanese male singers, translated from their original songs to this album. The song "Ti Amo" was released as digital single. In the 3rd week of the release of Covers, the album made the #3 spot on the Oricon charts while it made the #4 spot in the first week.
The song "Ti Amo" debuted on the weekly Recochoku charts on #9. [8] The album reached #1 in iTunes Japan and stayed #1 for 5 days. [9] [10] [11] This is the first of Beni's album recorded in English but she did not plan to release the album in the US or any English speaking countries . In the first week, Covers got the weekly spot #7 on the Oricon chart. On 9 April, in the 3rd week after her release, Covers got the #2 spot on the daily oricon charts ranking. While in its first week of the release of the album, the highest daily Oricon ranking it got was #4. [12] At the end of the 3rd chart week of Covers, the album ranked at #3. On April 18 it was announced Covers shipped already over 150,000 copies. And because of this success, the album would be released through iTunes in 51 countries. [13] At the end of the 7th week, the album got the weekly Oricon spot #7, selling about 18,000 copies which was more than its opening week. In the 8th week of the release of the album, the album reached #1 on the daily Oricon ranking. The album became a huge success: ranking #2 on the Oricon weekly charts and selling even more copies than "Lovebox" (which ranked #1 on Oricon weekly charts).

Beni Arashiro is a Japanese R&B singer, who debuted in 2004 under the Avex Trax label. In 2008, Arashiro left Avex Trax and transferred to Universal Music Japan where she started to perform as simply Beni.
Beni is the debut album of artist Beni Arashiro, released on February 9, 2005. The album is available in two different versions, CD+DVD and CD-only. The CD+DVD version was a limited edition, and has sold out. There were a total of four singles released before the release of this album. The album charted on the #14 spot on the Oricon ranking and sold 12,776 copies in its first week.
"Mō Nido To..." was the first single that Beni Arashiro released under her new name BENI and label Universal Japan.
"Kiss Kiss Kiss" is the second single by the artist BENI under the label Universal Japan. The song was the theme song for the Kao Biore Body Deli CM it also was the theme song for Recochoku. The song is described as a youthful love song.
"Koi Kogarete" is the third single from Beni under the label Universal Japan. The song is described as the ultimate romantic love song for the summer. The song is a med-tempo that will make sure to those with one sided loves cry, a real signature song.
"Zutto Futari de" is the fourth single by Beni on the Universal Japan label. The leading song is a theme song for Recochoku as well as the program UtaSta while "With U" is an Orion Beer commercial song and the theme song for Go! Shiodome Jamboree Wasshoi 2009. The leading song Zutto Futari de debuted on 15 July 2009, at the #2 place on the Recochoku download. The second day the song rose to the #1 position. After three days the song went back to its #2 place. It was later announced that the official track list of the single would include a cover of "The Boy Is Mine" featuring Tynisha Keli.
Bitter & Sweet is the first album released by Beni Arashiro under her new label Universal Music Japan and her new stage name, Beni on September 2, 2009. The CD+DVD version is a limited edition with all her single PVs and two new PVs named "The Boy Is Mine", which features Tynisha Keli, and "Superstar" which are both cover songs. The vocals for the DJ Hasebe Remix of "Kiss Kiss Kiss" were recorded from one of her live performances. The song "Dakishimete", featuring Dohzi-T, was released on 19 August as an online download on Recochoku's Chaku Uta. The song debuted on the #5 place on the Chaku-Uta charts and the #2 place on the Recochoku chart. The album debuted at the #6 place on the Oricon chart. The day after it rose to the #5 place. At the end of the first week, the album ended up on the #5 spot on the weekly chart selling about 30,000 copies making it Beni's highest ranked and best selling album to date. She went on a release club tour. The tour was named Bitter&Sweet RELEASE TOUR. The tour was so successful that new tour dates were added. Bitter & Sweet has been certified Gold by RIAJ for shipment of 100,000 copies. On 28 December, it was announced that Bitter & Sweet sold over 100,000 copies.
"Sign" is Beni's sixth single under the label Nayutawave Records. The leading song contains a sample of the piano from Yumi Matsutoya's 1994 song "Haru yo, Koi". The first press bonus will include a BENIxMURUA collaborative interchangeable jacket and for a lucky group of fifty, they will be awarded with a BENIxMURUA collaborative T-shirt. The single charted at the weekly spot #50 and sold 1,596 copies.
"Bye Bye" is Beni's seventh single under the label Nayutawave Records. The leading song is the ending theme for the program Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ. The single was ranked as #57 on the Oricon weekly chart and sold 1,171 copies so far.
"Yura Yura/Gimme Gimme♥" is Beni's eight single under the label Nayutawave Records. The song "Yurayura" is about the "wavering feelings you have after a break and how you want to move on", the song is supposed to be the new signature song. "Gimme Gimme" is the new Kao Biore Body Deli commercial song and is about "confessing your feelings to the one you love".
"One More Time, One More Chance" is a single by Japanese singer Masayoshi Yamazaki that was released on January 22, 1997, on the Polydor Japan label. It peaked on the Oricon weekly singles chart at No. 18 and charted for 24 weeks.
Jewel is Beni's sixth studio album, and third original album under the mononym Beni released through Nayutawave Records. It was released on December 8, 2010.
"Suki Dakara" (好きだから。) is Beni's eleventh single under the label Nayutawave Records. "Suki Dakara" is a "sad love song that paints a love that you don't give up on even though it may be hard and it hurts." The song is said to be similar to her previous released songs "Mō Nido to..." and "Koi Kogarete" Both songs were later added on Beni's 7th album "Fortune".

"Eien" (永遠) is the fourteenth single by Japanese singer Beni. It was scheduled to be released on 25 January 2012 on the Nayutawave Records label. "Eien" is a wedding song, and was scheduled to be the theme song for the NHK TV series Honjitsu wa Taian Nari which starts on 10 January 2012. The video for the lead song was recorded in Los Angeles, USA. On the recochoku weekly online charts "Eien" debuted at #7.
"Paparazzi" is a song recorded in the Japanese language by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation for their second Japanese-language studio album, Girls & Peace (2012). It was released as the album's lead single on June 27, 2012. Written by Fredrik Thomander, Johan Becker, and Junji Ishiwatari, and produced by Miles Walker, the track was described as an electropop and R&B song. To promote the single, Girls' Generation appeared on Japanese music programs Music Station and Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ, while a music video for the song directed by Toshiyuki Suzuki premiered on June 10, 2012, in order to accompany the release of the song.
