U.S. Route 29 in Alabama

U.S. Highway 29 (US 29), internally designated by the Alabama Department of Transportation as State Route 15 (SR 15), is a southwest-northeast state highway across the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Alabama. US 29 and SR 15 traverse Alabama in a general northeast/southwest slope. It has never been a major route in the state; its significance was completely overshadowed with the completion of Interstate 65 (I-65) and I-85 during the 1970s. Today, US 29 and SR 15 serve primarily to connect numerous smaller towns and cities in the southwest, south-central, and eastern parts of Alabama.

South Alabama Regional Airport

South Alabama Regional Airport at Bill Benton Field, formerly known as Andalusia-Opp Airport, is a public use airport in Covington County, Alabama, United States. It is located four nautical miles east of the central business district of Andalusia and about 9 miles (14 km) west of Opp. The airport is governed by the South Alabama Regional Airport Authority, with members appointed by the Andalusia City Council, the Opp Council, and the Covington County Commission.

The Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery is a Roman Catholic congregation of women. whose motherhouse, St. Walburg Monastery, is located at Villa Madonna, in Villa Hills, Kentucky. It was founded in 1859 by three sisters of the Benedictine congregation of Mount St. Benedict Monastery in Erie, Pennsylvania, who came to Covington to teach the German-speaking children of St. Joseph's parish. They became an independent congregation in 1867. Villa Madonna Academy, a private, Roman Catholic K-12 school is an integral part of the sisters' ministry in Kentucky. Besides operating the Academy, the sisters taught in parish schools and staffed St. John's Orphanage.

State Route 54 (SR 54) is a 15.995-mile-long (25.741 km) state highway in the extreme southern part of the U.S. state of Alabama. The western terminus of the highway is at an intersection with U.S. Route 331 (US 331) at Florala just north of the Florida state line. The eastern terminus of the highway is at an intersection with SR 52 just west of Samson.
