The Customs Department, also called the Thai Customs, [1] is the customs department of Thailand under the Ministry of Finance.

On 4 July 1874, King Chulalongkorn established Hor Ratsadakorn Pipat to collect all types of tax and become a form of Custom Department. Since the customs policy was complicated, the Customs Department developed the organization and management to be more effective by corporate the department under the control of the Ministry of Finance by Finance Minister of Thailand. Kitiyakara Voralaksana, 1st Prince of Chanthaburi was a Prince of Siam, a member of the Siamese Royal Family. He originated the House of Kitiyakara (ราชสกุลกิติยากร). His descendants use this royal surname. He is the paternal grandfather of Queen Sirikit, consort of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles is located in the Grand Palace in Bangkok Thailand. The museum replaced the 1873 Ratsadakorn-bhibhathana Building of the Royal Treasury Ministry by a request of Queen Sirikit in 2003. The building was the original organization of the current Crown Property Bureau.
