Cyborg Attack was a German electro-industrial and EBM band, formed in 1995 by Tino Weidaue and Raik Wild. They released 2 studio albums and 1 EP. [1]
Cyborg Attack was formed in 1995 by Tino Weidaue (keyboards) and Raik Wild (vocals), with the subsequent incorporation of Uwe Schimmel in 1996 as additional keyboardist. Sandro Franz replaced Raik Wild as singer in 1999. [2] [3] [4] During their lifespan they released 2 studio albums and 1 EP with German record labels Black Rain, NoiTekk and Omp. The band's songs have also appeared on more than 20 different compilations. [5] [6]
The group participated in the Wave-Gotik-Treffen music festival in 2000, 2004 and 2008. [7] [8] [9]
Cyborg Attack's musical style has generally been described as old school EBM [10] [11] [12] with metal influence. [13] [14] The band's motto "Resistance is futile" is a reference to the Borg, an alien group that appear as recurring antagonists in the Star Trek franchise. [15] [16]
The Wave-Gotik-Treffen is an annual world festival for "dark" music and "dark culture" in Leipzig, Germany. 150+ bands and artists from various backgrounds play at several venues throughout the city over four days on Whitsuntide. The festival also features multiple all-night dance club parties, several fairs with medieval, gothic, and related merchandise, a variety of cultural exhibitions and performances, large themed picnics, and a number of unofficial fringe events.

Ukrainian Gothic Portal is a printed magazine, web-portal and promotion agency of gothic / dark / electro scene in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. UGP was established in 1999 on basis of unofficial closed subculture formation Kiev Gothic Clan (KGC) and was officially registered in 2000 on the domain gothic.com.ua. The founder and ideologist of UGP was the author of gothic-related publications, Vitaliy Stranger. In 2000-2005, UGP became one of the leading dark music-related agencies in Ukraine and Russia, covered by local and international press, organizing festival "Deti Nochi: Chorna Rada", publishing printed magazine "Gothica", releasing cds on label "Tridens", making its own radio program and TV appearances. Cooperation partners of UGP became such festivals as Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Castle Party, such magazines as Zillo, Orkus and other organizations in Europe. The aims of UGP were the creation, development and coverage of gothic / dark / electro scene in Ukraine and in all countries of ex-USSR as well as uniting scene-fans and admirers of respective aesthetics.
Signal Aout 42, also known as SA42, is a Belgian electronic music band. Initially active in the 1980s, Signal Aout 42 became known for producing music in the EBM and industrial styles of electronic music, but into and through the 1990s also incorporated techno, acid, and trance styles. After a decade-long hiatus, the band became active again in the late 2000s.
Rossetti's Compass is a synthpop and EBM music band created in November 2010 by the British musician Mark Warner. It was conceived from a desire to explore different directions in the electro musical sphere, from pure synthpop to dark and menacing electro and EBM. In 2013, the band released three albums, including a limited edition semi-live recording session. High-Functioning Flesh is an American industrial music duo, formed by Susan Subtract and Gregory Vand in Los Angeles, California. Forming in late 2012 following a Youth Code show, Subtract and Vand have released three studio albums, the most recent being 2017's Culture Cut. The duo are known for mixing dystopian, science fiction inspired lyrical concepts with 1980s musical sensibilities. They often refer to their music as being "electro-punk."
