The Cypriot Women's Volleyball National Division is the major volleyball national competition for women in Cyprus, established in 1975. [1] It is organised by the Cyprus Volleyball Federation (Kypriaki Omospondia Petosfairisis-KOP). [2]

History

In the 2018/19 season in Division A 8 teams had participated: "Anorthosis (Famagusta/Limasol), AEL (Limasol), AEC (Larnaca), Apollo (Limasol), Olympiada (Nicosia), Paphiakos Theodorou (Paphos), TOI (Avgorou), Anagennesi (Derinha). The championship title was won by Anorthosis for the second time in a row. The 2nd place went to the AEL, the 3rd to the AEC.

Nea Salamis Famagusta VC or Nea Salamina Famagusta VC is a professional volleyball team based in Ammochostos, Cyprus. It has been a refugee club since the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, when Turkey occupied the northern part of the island. The club is temporarily based in Limassol. The team is part of the Nea Salamina Famagusta sports club, which was founded in 1948; the parent club also fields a men's football team which temporarily based in Larnaka.

It began on 26 October 2016 with the first round and concluded on 24 May 2017 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was Apollon Limassol for ninth time and qualified for the 2017–18 Europa League second qualifying round

Anorthosis Famagusta Volleyball is the women's volleyball team of Cypriot sports club Anorthosis Famagusta. The team is temporarily based in Nicosia due to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974.

The 2018–19 Cypriot Cup was the 77th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 24 clubs were accepted to enter the competition. It began on 5 December 2018 with the first round and concluded on 22 May 2019 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was AEL Limassol for seventh time and qualified for the 2019–20 Europa League second qualifying round.

Tatyana Mudritskaya is a Kazakhstani female volleyball player. She is a member of the Kazakhstan women's national volleyball team, and played for Schweriner SC in 2014. She was part of the Kazakhstani national team at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Italy.
