Nea Salamis Famagusta or Nea Salamina Famagusta is a Cypriot sports club based in Ammochostos, Cyprus. The club is named after Salamis, an ancient city near present-day Famagusta. Nea Salamis Famagusta fields teams in men's football and volleyball, and formerly fielded teams in women's football, track and field, water sports and table tennis.
The GSP Stadium is a football stadium in Strovolos, Nicosia District, Cyprus. Although small by international standards, it is the largest stadium in Cyprus, with a capacity of 22,859 and was opened in 1999. It serves as the home stadium for the 3 biggest football clubs of Nicosia APOEL, Olympiakos & Omonia. It is also the home stadium of the Cyprus national football team. A stadium under the same name, the old GSP Stadium, existed from 1902 until 1999 in the centre of Nicosia and had a capacity of 12,000.
Cyprus Volleyball Federation (CVF) (Greek: Kυπριακή Oμοσπονδία Πετοσφαίρισης, Κ.Ο.ΠΕ) (Turkish: Kıbrıs Voleybol Federasyonu (KVF)) is the governing body of volleyball in Cyprus. It organises the first division, second division leagues and a cup competition.
The Cyprus Amateur Football Federation (CAFF) was founded in 1948 by leftist Greek Cypriot actors and athletes. The league, which divided Cypriot football into two federations for five years, held its own championships and cup competitions.

The 2011–12 season is Omonia's 57th season in the Cypriot First Division and 63rd year in existence as a football club. On 22 June, the first training session for the season took place at GSP Stadium. The pre-season tour this season was in Poland. The team entered the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League third qualifying round on 28 July and won the first leg in Cyprus against ADO Den Haag. One week later, they eliminated the Dutch team and were drawn against Red Bull Salzburg in the play-off round. A comeback and a 2–1 win and the team still had the chance to advance to the group stages. Omonia lost 0–1 in Austria and were eliminated on the away goals rule. Omonia won the Cypriot Cup last season and therefore played in the Cypriot Super Cup on 7 August against the rivals APOEL but the team lost 0–1.

The 2012–13 season is Omonia's 58th season in the Cypriot First Division and 64th year in existence as a football club. The pre-season tour this season took part once again in Poland. During the two weeks in Opalenica, Omonia will be playing four friendly games. Later on, the Greens are playing their debut game at GSP Stadium against Doxa Katokopia. Their last test before the season starts will be against Willem II in GSP Stadium on 27 July. The European journey starts a less than week later when the team enters the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League third qualifying round. The league kick-off's in September when newcome Ayia Napa visits Nicosia for a tough clash. In the beginning of 2013, the team enters Cypriot Cup second round.
Nea Salamis Famagusta FC or Nea Salamina Famagusta FC is a Cypriot professional football club based in Ammochostos. It has been a refugee club since the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, when Turkey occupied the northern part of the island. The club is temporarily based in Larnaca.
The 2013–14 Cypriot Cup was the 72nd edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 30 clubs entered the competition. It began on 23 October 2013 with the first round and concluded on 21 May 2014 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. APOEL won their 20th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Ermis Aradippou 2–0 in the final.

It began on 28 October 2015 with the first round and concluded on 18 May 2016 with the final which was held at Tsirion Stadium. Apollon clinched their 8th Cypriot Cup trophy after a 2–1 victory over Omonia.

It began on 26 October 2016 with the first round and concluded on 24 May 2017 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was Apollon Limassol for ninth time and qualified for the 2017–18 Europa League second qualifying round
The Famagusta derby refers to the Famagusta's local derby, football matches played between Anorthosis Famagusta and Nea Salamis Famagusta. It is one of the rivalries of Cypriot football. The rivalry is also indicative of social, cultural and political differences.
The 2017–18 Cypriot Cup was the 76th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 22 clubs were accepted to enter the competition. It began on 29 November 2019 with the first round and concluded on 16 May 2018 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was AEK Larnaca for second time and qualified for the 2018–19 Europa League second qualifying round.

It began on 5 December 2018 with the first round and concluded on 22 May 2019 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was AEL Limassol for seventh time and qualified for the 2019–20 Europa League second qualifying round.
The 2019–20 Cypriot Cup was the 78th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 24 clubs were accepted to enter the competition. It begins on 30 October 2019 with the first round and will conclude in May 2020 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup will qualify for the 2020–21 Europa League second qualifying round.
The 2017–18 season was Pafos's 4th year in existence, and first season back in the Cypriot First Division following their relegation at the end of the 2015–16 season. Pafos finished the season in 10th position and reached the Semifinals of the Cypriot Cup where they were knocked out by Apollon Limassol.
