Dadagiri is an Indian reality show that premiered on Bindass in 2008.

History

In its first season, called Dadagiri: Beat the Bullies, contestants were selected every week and would compete for a prize money of Rs. 50,000. It was hosted by Akash Beri and had 4 "bullies": Vishal as "The Beast", Shraman Jain as "The Mindstein", Esha Bhaskar as "The Goddess" and Quaiser Jamal as Juicy The Chef.[ citation needed ] Contestants were required to complete physical and mental challenges, as well as endure abuse by the show's "bullies". [1] According to a former contestant, the show was about 70% scripted and 30% improvised. [2]

The second season premiered in 2009 and featured 12 contenders competing for a prize of Rs. 1,000,000. It had 2 bullies; Vishal returned as "The Beast" for the second season, and Sonnalli Seygall replaced Esha as "The Goddess". [3]

The third season premiered in 2010, D3 Commando Force: Dadagiri Against Terrorism, and it also had cash prize. [4]

The fourth and final season premiered in 2011, titled Dadagiri: The Revenge of the Sexes, and it featured two groups divided by gender. The male team was led by Vishal as "The Beast", and the female team by Shaurya Chauhan as "The Goddess". [5]

Assault incident

In one episode in 2008, "Esha, the Goddess" (Esha Bhaskar) slapped a contestant named Ravi Bhatia which was not previously agreed. He immediately slapped her back. The incident resulted in the male host (Akash Beri) and some crew members physically assaulting Bhatia while he repeatedly asked "How can she slap?". [1] The video also went viral on the Internet. [6] Bhatia subsequently sent a legal notice to the producers and asked for a public apology. [7]

The Biggest Loser is an Australian reality television show, based on the original American version of the same name. It is produced by Shine Australia and screened on Network Ten. Since 2015, the show has been hosted by former contestant Fiona Falkiner, It was formerly hosted by Ajay Rochester from 2006 to 2009 & former Olympian Hayley Lewis from 2010 to 2014. The show debuted on 13 February 2006, followed by a second season on 4 February 2007 which introduced Michelle Bridges, Shannan Ponton and Steve Willis. The third season began airing on 3 February 2008. A fourth season, which features couples competing as teams, started airing on 1 February 2009. A fifth season, which aired on 31 January 2010, featuring former Olympic swimmer Hayley Lewis as the new host, and in 2011 the show introduced the new trainer Tiffiny Hall. In its eleventh season, the show introduced new trainer Libby Babet. The show did not return in 2018 due to low ratings.

Airtel Super Singer Junior Ithu Thamizhagathin Chellakuralukkana Thedal – is a reality TV show since February 2007 hosted by Vijay TV, a popular Tamil channel of the Star Network, and sponsored by Bharti Airtel. It is a singing talent hunt for the children of age group 6–15. This is the junior version of the Airtel Super Singer show, which premiered on 28 April 2006. Auditions are held in various parts of Tamil Nadu, India. The show attracts many kids from all over the state and rigorous multi-level selection procedures are done in order to select the contestants for the competition. The tenth season launched on 16th November 2024.
