Dahiya Khap is a Khap of the Dahiya clan of Jats. [1] which itself is a part of the Jat community in Haryana. [2] There are more than 52 villages of Dahiya Jats in the Haryana [3] and the Dahiya clan is the largest among the Jats of the state. [4] [5] [6]

A Khap is a community organisation representing a clan or a group of North Indian castes or clans. They are found mostly in northern India, particularly among the Village people of Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh (Jats), but also amongst states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh although historically the term has also been used among other communities. A Khap Panchayat is an assembly of Khap elders, and a Sarv Khap is an assembly of many Khap Panchayats.

Jatusana is a village and block of Rewari district in Haryana. Previously, it was known as Jatu-Thana, one of the biggest and most powerful thanas in Punjab during the 18th and the first half of the 19th century. Khanda village of Kharkhoda block have a statue of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur which was inaugurated by CM of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar on Shaurya Diwas celebrated in Khanda, Sonipat.

Khanda is a big & historical village in Kharkhoda tehsil of Sonipat district in Haryana, India. It is located 2 miles (3.2 km) from Kharkhoda and 7 miles (11 km) from Sonipat. It is a part of the Delhi NCR. Khanda has two Gram Panchayats Khanda Khas & Khanda Alman. Two Sarpanchs elects from the village in every five years. Mehar Singh Dahiya (1916-1945) commonly known as Fauji Mehar Singh and Jat Mehar Singh, was a Haryanavi poet. He was born in the Dahiya clan of Jats in the village Barona in the Kharkhoda tahsil, in the district of Sonipat. In addition to Haryana, his ragnis are still popular in Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. According to the records of the Jat Regiment, he was born on 15 February 1916. His father, Nand Ram, was a farmer. Due to the economic conditions of the house, his education ended after Class-III. From Childhood, he was fond of singing ragnis. His father was irritated by his son's propensity of singing ragnis, but he was unable to dissuade him from this pastime. He was married to Prem Kaur. In 1937, Mehar Singh joined the army where he kept singing and recording ragnis. During the Second World War, he and his army colleagues allied with the Azad Hind Fauj. In 1945, he died while fighting for the cause of India's freedom.

Padam Singh Dahiya is an Indian politician. He is from Khanda village in Sonipat district. He was a member of 10th Vidhan Sabha Haryana Legislative Assembly in Sonipat from Indian National Lok Dal Party.
