Dampong is a town in the Asante Akim South, a district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. [1] [2]
There is a Secondary school at Dampong called Jubilee Mission Senior High School which was opened in September 2007 by Ashanti Akim Community Organisation AACO. [3]
There is DAMPONG DIASPORA ASSOCIATION(DDA) Dampong citizens in the Diaspora whose aim is to help in the development of the town. The association was founded by Mr Appiah Ofosu-hene a citizen of Dampong based in the UK. The association is involved in the development of the town and has established a development committee with an office in the town. This group has been involved in various programs and as of March 2023 helping in fixing an abandoned public place of convenience and other things. Under the able leadership of the current executives being led by the Chairman Rev. Yaw Adu-Dwumaa who is based in the UK.
Kumasi is a city in the Ashanti Region, and is among the largest metropolitan areas in Ghana. Kumasi is located in a rain forest region near Lake Bosomtwe, and is the commercial, industrial, and cultural capital of the historical Ashanti Empire. Kumasi is approximately 500 kilometres (300 mi) north of the Equator and 200 kilometres (100 mi) north of the Gulf of Guinea. Kumasi is alternatively known as "The Garden City" because of its many species of flowers and plants in the past. It is also called Oseikrom, after Osei Kofi Tutu I who was a king in the Ashanti empire.
The Ashanti Region is located in the southern part of Ghana and is the third largest of 16 administrative regions, occupying a total land surface of 24,389 km2 (9,417 sq mi) and making up 10.2 percent of the total land area of Ghana. The Eastern Region is located in the Eastern part of Ghana and is one of the sixteen administrative regions of Ghana. Eastern region is bordered to the east by the Lake Volta, to the north by Bono East Region and Ashanti region, to the west by Ashanti region, to the south by Central region and Greater Accra Region. Akim Oda, a town in Ghana's Eastern Region, serving as the administrative and traditional center of the Birim Central Municipal District and Akyem Kotoku, respectively. The town has 60,604 residents as of 2013.
Asante Akim South Municipal District is one of the forty-three districts in Ashanti Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 as Asante Akim South District, which it was created from the former Asante Akim District Council. Later it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2018. The municipality is located in the eastern part of Ashanti Region and has Juaso as its capital town.

Asamankese is a town in south Ghana and is the capital of West Akim Municipal District, a district in the Eastern Region of south Ghana. He was Member of Parliament in the Parliament of Ghana for Asante Akim North Constituency from January 1997 until his death on September 24, 2008. He served as a Minister of state at different ministries under the Kufuor government from 2001.

Achiase District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger and first Birim South District in 1988, which was created from the former Birim District Council, until the western part of the district was split off to create a new Birim South District on 29 February 2008; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Birim Central Municipal District, with Akim Oda as its capital town. However on 15 March 2018, the eastern part of the district was split off to create Achiase District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Birim South District. The district assembly is located in the southwest part of Eastern Region and has Achiase as its capital town.
