The University of Idaho is a public land-grant research university in Moscow, Idaho. It is the state's land-grant and primary research university, and the lead university in the Idaho Space Grant Consortium. The University of Idaho was the state's sole university for 71 years, until 1963. Its College of Law, established in 1909, was first accredited by the American Bar Association in 1925.

In December 2012, Bedke defeated fellow Republican Lawerence Denney to become speaker of the Idaho House of Representatives.
Daniel L. Allen was an American college football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Boston University from 1990 to 1995 and at the College of the Holy Cross from 1996 to 2003. Allen began his coaching career at the University of Dayton as a graduate assistant, where he earned a master's degree in 1979. He then served as an assistant coach at Holy Cross from 1982 to 1989 before moving on to his first head coaching job at Boston University. After a six-year stint for the Terriers, Allen finished his coaching career back at Holy Cross, where he led the Crusaders for eight seasons before being fired following a 1–11 campaign.

The 1993 Boston University Terriers football team was an American football team that represented Boston University as a member of the Yankee Conference during the 1993 NCAA Division I-AA football season. In their fourth season under head coach Dan Allen, the Terriers compiled a 12–1 record, won the Yankee Conference, lost to Idaho in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs, and outscored by a total of 436 to 211.

The 2022 Idaho State Senate election was held on Tuesday November 8, as part of the biennial 2022 United States elections. Idaho voters elected state senators in all of the state's 35 senate districts. State senators serve two-year terms in the Idaho Senate.
