Dan Lanigan is an American film and television producer, writer, director, actor and prop collector [1] . He owns a production company, Cinema Relics, and is most notably the host of Disney’s Prop Culture.   [2] [3]

Early Life & Career

Lanigan began his career working for his father’s industrial crane company, Mi-Jack Products. Over time, a love for cinema and prop collecting led him into the film and television industry. Dan began his second career working on the series Race to the Scene, a reality series hosted by Dolph Lundgren that features teams of contestants who race to historic movie locations by performing stunts from blockbuster movies like Pulp Fiction and Terminator. Lanigan also worked on the films Izzy Lyon: The Unspun Truth, Fan-O-Rama and the TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return and West Texas Investors Club. [2]

Prop Collection

Dan is most well-known for his 6000-piece cinema prop collection [1] which led him to host Disney’s 2020 series, Prop Culture [4] . He has been collecting props for 25 years, beginning with his first encounter with movie props at Disney’s MGM Studios. [5]
