Danda Venkata Subba Reddy (1899–1987) was a professor of medicine in India, and a pioneer of the medical history of South Asia. [1] Subba Reddy was the founder of the National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage in Hyderabad, an institution first envisioned by Henry Sigerist in the 1940s. [2]

He was principal of Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad between 4 May 1957 and 29 January 1959. [3]

Gandhi Medical College

Gandhi Medical College is a medical college in Hyderabad, India affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences. The college was originally affiliated to Osmania University.

He wrote many pioneering articles on Indian medical history, and the book Glimpses Of Health And Medicine In Mauryan Empire (1966). [4]

Ganesh is a 1998 film produced by D.Suresh Babu under the Suresh Productions banner, directed by Thirupathisamy. It stars Venkatesh, Rambha and Madhu Bala in the lead roles, with music composed by Mani Sharma. The film was recorded as a Block Buster at the box office. The film received five Nandi Awards, including the Nandi Award for Best Actor. Venkatesh also won the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu).

Baddam Yella Reddy was an Indian communist politician from Telangana. He was one of the prominent leaders in the Telangana armed struggle against the Nizam regime.

OSMECON

OSMECON is a pan-India undergraduate medical conference hosted annually by Osmania Medical College and its associated hospitals. It is a three-day event, typically scheduled in August each year. Registrations generally open online at osmecon.org a couple of months in advance.

Started in 2010 as a platform for medical undergraduates to present their research, the conference's oeuvre has since expanded to include numerous workshops, clinical case discussions, quizzes, guest lectures, panel discussions and symposia, with international delegates in attendance since 2014. One of the main goals in recent years has been to equip participants with cutting-edge clinical skills as well as an understanding of basic and clinical research techniques. Another main focus has been the recent developments, future opportunities and challenges that medical research presents at all levels of training, with particular emphasis on the Indian context. The ultimate aim is to establish the cult of the clinician-scientist firmly in Indian medical education, beginning at the grassroots level.
I. Bhooshana Rao Indian scientist (1914-1976)

Idupuganti Bhooshana Rao was a leading figure in forensic medicine in India. He was the Founder-President of the Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine established in 1972. He was born in Dornakal, Andhra Pradesh, India.

A. V. Rama Rao

Alla Venkata Rama Rao is an Indian inventor and chemist, known for his pioneering researches in the field of drug technology. He is the founder of the A. V. Rama Rao Research Foundation, a non governmental organization promoting research and doctoral studies in chemistry and Avra Laboratories, an organization dealing in intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients, used in therapeutics. An elected fellow of the Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, India, and Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Rama Rao is a recipient of several awards such as TWAS Technology Award, VASVIK Industrial Research Award and Om Prakash Bhasin Award. The Government of India awarded him Padma Shri in 1991 and Padma Bhushan in 2016.

N.T.R. Kathanayakudu is a 2019 Telugu biographical film, based on the life and acting career of N. T. Rama Rao. It was produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati Ranganatha, Vishnu Induri under NBK Films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, Vibri Media banners. and directed by Krish. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, as his father N. T. Rama Rao, Vidya Balan in Basava Ramatarakam's role as a debut in Telugu and music is composed by M. M. Keeravani. The film has a sequel, N.T.R: Mahanayakudu that will showcase the political journey of N. T. Rama Rao.
