Daniel Dumitrescu (born 23 September 1968) is a retired Romanian boxer who won silver medals at the 1988 Olympics and 1989 European Amateur Boxing Championships. In 1989 he fled from Romania to Greece and then to Germany, where he stayed for one year. In 1993 he turned professional and retired in 1997 with a record of five victories and two losses. [2] [3]
Francisc Vaștag is a retired Romanian amateur boxer, who won three world amateur titles between 1989 and 1995, in the welterweight and light middleweight categories. He competed at the 1988, 1992 and 1996 Olympics reaching quarterfinals in 1992. After retiring from competitions he coached the national boxing team. His son, Andrei Vaștag, is a football player who played for Liga I side FC Dinamo București, among other teams.

Calistrat Ilie Cuțov is a retired Romanian boxer. He won the European lightweight title in 1969 and an Olympic bronze medal in 1968. He also competed in the light-welterweight division at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics, but was eliminated before reaching semifinals. He retired after winning a bronze medal at the 1977 European Championships, with a record of 11 losses out of 398 bouts. Since 1981 he has worked as a boxing coach. His trainees include Daniel Dumitrescu. His brother Simion was also an Olympic medalist in boxing.
