Daniel Durben (born April 2, 1959) is an American sports shooter. He competed in the men's 50 metre rifle three positions event at the 1988 Summer Olympics. [1] His brother Peter also competed as an Olympic shooter.
The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Shooting at the 1980 Summer Olympics took place at the Dynamo Shooting Range in Mytishchi in eastern part of Moscow between 20 and 26 July. Seven events were contested. Alhtough events were mixed, i.e. open to both men and women, all medals were swept by men, and there were only 5 women competing compared to 77 in Los Angeles 1984.

Bassham suggested that two gold medals be given, and after this request was declined, asked Murdock to share the top step with him at the award ceremony. Women had no separate shooting events at the time and were allowed to compete with men. Murdock became the first woman to win an Olympic medal in shooting.

He is also the brother of fellow Olympic rifle shooter Daniel Durben. Durben attended the University of South Florida, where he majored in chemical engineering.
